In 1848 the Historic Courthouse was built. Today this Historic Courthouse is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Historic Landmark Register. Open to visitors 362 days a year, this 500 acre site also includes Henry’s grave, original law office, reconstructed home, and outbuildings. Several major events are held annually, including an Independence Day celebration, Christmas Open House, a Naturalization Ceremony, Governor Henry Lectures, and living history events.
