Our big spread of machines helps us integrating more and more Optima Consumer machines to the lines. But sometimes we need also other vendors to realize the requirements from the customer. In past concepts, machines in lines where linked together by belts or buffers, so the dependence of the machines are very low. Today customers focus on small footprint of lines. Here we have the same issues like on horizontal communication At the Optima Group we have a department that focuses on line management. Here we have standard interfaces that can be easily implemented to Optima Consumer machines. With other line management systems we have to develop the interface in every project. The following schematic will give you an overview what we are focusing on. In the next steps we will try to define for all the different blocks some standard frames how communication can look like. 21. Here we searched for standards that are known by the members of the workgroup. We realized that there is no standard machine state definition installed at the members. So we started the discussion to agree to a standard. Optima Consumer agreed and implemented OMAC PackMl State manager V3.0 to all machines. For me it was very interesting how many different requirements came up und how hard it is to match this to PackMl standard. PackML standard IO Top ideas from machine builder interfaces hardware So for me standardization is not a topic where we can specify exact every bit. It should define only a frame where machine builders have their freedom to realize and solve their sometimes totally different difficulties Standard functions etc. 21.
