THE BUSINESS TIMES 3 “In Him” Ministries, Inc. “In Him” Ministries, Inc. e-mail: [email protected] A note from Pastor Jacqué’s desk Matthew 7:7-8 (NLT) "Ask, and what you are asking for will be given to you. Look, and what you are looking for you will find. Knock, and the door you are knocking on will be opened to you. Everyone who asks receives what he asks for. Everyone who looks finds what he is looking for. Everyone who knocks has the door opened to him.” Have you ever wandered what Jesus really meant when He made this statement to His people? I have, and here is one explanation regarding spiritual looking, knocking and actually finding. But first, there is another Scripture that played a key part in my looking for and finding the door to knock on that opens up to the answer! James 1:5 (CEV) “If you do not have wisdom, ask God for it. He is always ready to give it to you and will never say you are wrong for asking.” In both of these Scriptures Jesus and James, His brother, are talking about prayer: The kind of prayer where we are asking God for something. The very first thing to ask God for in prayer is His wisdom or His will in the matter. There is nothing wrong with praying for the will of God to be done in any or every situation. Jesus told us to pray, “Thy will be done”! Ask for God’s wisdom, this begins the Search (Seek, Look) for God. When you find Him, and you will, Knock on His Door. Find Him and His will and you have found your answer! Let us realize we need God to answer our prayers. He, Himself is the answer for our lives! Ask, Seek, Knock and Find! It is in the finding of Him that cleanses, humbles and then lifts us to the heights of His graciousness that truly answers every prayer! Let’s knock on God’s Door, Jesus, by remembering what He did and how much it cost God to bring us to the throne of grace where we find all our answers. It cost the blood of His only begotten Son to open the Door. The answers are all, every one of them, behind God’s Door just waiting for us to seek, knock and find them! Pastor Jacqué 4 THE BUSINESS TIMES A & M Healtcare Agency, LLC THE BUSINESS TIMES 5 Three Rivers Assembly 6 of God THE BUSINESS TIMES Redeemer Lutheran School News “Diakonia: Send Me” | “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45 “Diakonia: Send me” is the theme for the 2015-2016 school year at Redeemer Lutheran School. Our greatest teacher is of course Jesus Christ, who lived His life devoted to others, even enduring death on the cross to demonstrate His devotion to us. RLS looks to Christ as our example of how to serve others. Here are just some of the opportunities our students have to follow Christ’s example to serve others. through monthly chapel offerings which go to support a different charity each month, and through various senior projects such as a blood drive, food drive, and sock drive. High school students travel to Concordia senior care homes for a Christmas party complete with gifts. Redeemer students also reach beyond our local community. Younger students enjoyed a virtual mission trip to Latvia while a high school team traveled to Michigan to work at a camp. High school students marched in the Right to Life March in Washington DC. Packing and sorting clothes for World Vision plus a family dance to raise funds for South East Asian Prayer Center were other projects. At Christmas the school families collect items for military men and women through Military Connections. This year we ask for your prayers for a safe and successful school year. We thank God daily for the community’s support so that we can provide a learning setting that goes well beyond academic skills to grow strong men and women ready to be “Sent.” Diakonia-Send me. Serving starts with our local needs first. Our students learn to serve by preparing lunch for veterans on Veterans Day, THE BUSINESS TIMES 7 Brookdale Senior Living “Brookdale Penn Hills ( formally Sterling House ) Ribbon Cutting June 29, 2015” At Brookdale we partner with each resident to create a personalized plan, tailored for their specific needs.
