AUDITED CIRCULATION
The Alliance for Audited Media (AAM)
Reviews the paid circulation for the daily publication, The Courier.
The Alliance for Audited Media, formerly the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC), is committed to providing
independently verified data and information critical to evaluating and purchasing media. AAM conducts rigorous
audits of publishers and impartially delivers the results of those audits to advertisers and advertising agencies.
Circulation Verification Council (CVC)
Reviews the printing, distribution, circulation, and general business records of the unpaid weekly publications. CVC
audit methodology is the most thorough in the industry. CVC utilizes a unique three-tiered system of checks and
balances to ensure complete and accurate data. A CVC audit means quality and reliability.

headlines. Front Page
Adhesive Notes are
proven attention-getters.
The 2.875” x 2.875” Front

Community Newspapers!
Use the power of Front
Page Advertising! With
their eye-catching, frontpage appeal, Front Page
Adhesive Notes are ideal
for generating instant
traffic and direct response,
for making referrals to
larger ads or supplements
inside the paper, and for
big news announcements
and sales events. They are
great for special offers,
online promotions, holiday
promotions and creating
name recognition.
If your Front Page Adhesive
Note is a merchandise
coupon, suggest that
readers lift it off and stick
it on their shopping lists or
refrigerator doors. A service
message with your phone
number would naturally find
a home by the telephone.
Use your imagination to

Shelf Life:
Consumers can take it with them and reposition it where they will
remember to take action.
Availability:

Newsworthy ad design...
For the most ‘notable’ benefits, incorporate three elements on
your Front Page Adhesive Note.
1. Identify/Brand
2. Offer/Event
Recommendations:
1. Prominently identify the name of your business.
2. Name the offer or event that you are promoting.
3. Call to action to respond to your message.
- It is also recommended that your message contain minimal use of copy.
- Too much ink in backside printing causes adhesive note adhesive to be ineffective
in sticking.
- 34 different shapes available. Custom adhesive note shapes are available upon
request, but are subject to a 25,000 print minimum.
- No extra charge for full color, shape, perforation, backside printing or coin reveal
ink. Backside printing, perforation and coin reactive reveal ink are available on
standard shape adhesive note only.

Polybag Rates
Polybag Advertising Offers
THE HIGHEST VISIBILITY for Your Advertisement
Polybags are the plastic bags your Houston Community Newspaper is delivered in every
week, and are a great place for your message. HCN readers turn to their local newspaper
for in-depth community news and features, and the first thing they will see is your ad
printed on the bag. No other place in the entire newspaper is as visible! Polybags can
be reserved on a first-come basis, and are available for virtually all Houston Community
Newspapers.
Zoning is available with a minimum 10,000 order.
Newspaper readers are greeted by advertisements printed on the bags that protect
their paper before they see the front page. Your ad is printed on the outside of the paper
demanding immediate attention. Great for: sales, grand openings, special events, brand
building, coupons, fund-raising, inserts, traffic building, new product launches, direct
response, holiday greetings, political campaigns, website promotion, contests.
CUSTOM QUOTES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
Mechanical Requirements: Overall polybag size: 6.5” deep x 19” wide. • Ad image area is 5” deep x 16“ wide.
Reserving Dates: Specific dates can be reserved, but will not be guaranteed without a 50% deposit.
Deadlines: Reservation deadline is 28 days prior to insertion date.
Artwork must be approved and supplied to HCN a minimum of 24 days prior to insertion date.
Artwork Specifications: Art work can be supplied in .PDF format. Colors must be in available PMS colors. All fonts must be converted to
outlines.
