MARCHE REGION IN THE DOMESTIC TRANSPORT NETWORK The Marche transport infrastructure system is ranking among the domestic «key junction areas», capable of meeting European and international high volume cargo traffic and local transport requirements. Nowadays 54 hectars are equipped with 6 rail tracks. Interporto Marche freight village offers: sq.mts 100,000 room-temperature warehouses of which: sq.mts. 80,000 served by 6 railways 450 mts long; sq.mts. 20,000 not linked to the railway system. sq.mts.215,000 warehouse-related parking spaces; sq.mts.2,000 Headquarters building. “SISTEMA INTERPORTUALE DI JESI” 2013 Development Plan ASSETS: RAILWAY NETWORK The railway junction: the railway track; the railway infrastructure; the railway track bed; the safety standards; Are built in compliance with the Italian F.S.company’s safety standards and rules. The maximum load capacity is set in accordance with F.S. standard category D4: grounding per axle of 22.5 ton. grounding per linear metre of 8,0 ton. ASSETS: railway network sq. mts 110,000 served by 6 rail tracks housing up to a 500-metre container terminal area: long train; check-in and check-out rail platform - located beside the West-East “Orte-Falconara” main railway line - made of 4 rail tracks and relevant electric- powered dead-end railway tracks housing up to 695- metre long train; “Jesi Interporto” cargo rail station is being built and by Dec. 2012 it will become the only freight station to serve incoming and outgoing cargo trains following the shut-down of Falconara Marittima, Jesi and Fabriano stations. The “Jesi-Interporto” cargo station full operations will cut down container terminal manoeuvering and access operation costs of Interporto Marche.
