INTRODUCTION
The first Five Star Hotel in the Capital City of Colombo designed with Sri Lankan expertise was carried out under the stewardship of Navin Gooneratne ‐ The Founder/Director of DESIGN CONSORTIUM LTD, who is the Chairman of 1:2:4 DESIGNS LTD. Navin Gooneratne is also the only Director of TRANS ASIA HOTELS (presently ‐ Cinnamon Lake Side) who has served on the Board of TRANS ASIA HOTELS LTD from its inception up to date, a period spanning over 25 years. Several other Hotel properties have been designed under his stewardship at DESIGN CONSORTIUM LTD, namely; (See Annex)  Deer Park Hotel, Girithale.  Kosgoda Beach Resort  Lihiniya Surf Hotel ,Bentota ‐Re‐development  Grand Hotel, Nuwara Eliya‐Re‐development of the Golf Wing, Entrance and Lounge  Ella Rest House  Mihinthale Rest House Navin Gooneratne continued his stewardship as Chairmen of 1:2:4 DESIGNS LTD. from the new millennium creating several Master Plans for Tourism and Resort Development and a number of Resort & Hotel designs in Sri Lanka and Overseas, namely: (See Annex)  Cinnamon Grand The Breeze Bar, Tao Restaurant and landscaping of the Swimming Pool area.  Cinnamon Lake Side Interior of Royal Thai, Long Feng Restaurant and landscaping around the Swimming Pool area.  The Palms, Beruwala Re development of Wornel’s Reef Hotel – Presently The Palms, Beruwala  Palwatta Sugar Resort & Spa, Buttala Design of Resort and Sports Complex.  Kalpitiya Peninsular Conceptual Master Plan for the 3600 Acre property, for SRI LANKA TOURIST BOARD in 2005.  Kosgoda International Resort Conceptual Master Plan for 250 Acres in Kosgoda.  Waters Edge Master Plan for Asia Pacific Golf Course including Club House, Leisure Centre and Villas. Presently Waters Edge.  Heen Ela Wetland Nature Park & Resort, Kotte Master Plan in association with International Wild Life Specialist – Lyn de Alwis, for the Heen Ela marsh. 
Eco‐Cultural Park & Resort, Bojjangoda Master Plan in association with Lyn de Alwis, for the NIGHT SAFARI and Nature Park and Resort. 
New Parsekuda Tourism Development Master Plan. 
Grand Lake Resort, Hikkaduwa Master Plan & design of Villas 
