of the season LOUD! and KangaROOS.
The dance show is an enormous explosion
of choreographies performed by ultimate
dancers, which are capable in doing every
dance style there is. LOUD! will be filled
with stars of popular TV-shows as „So You
Think You Can Dance“, „The Ultimate Dance
Battle“ or „Holland’s Got Talent. Some dancers are seen in footwear and textiles from

Sneaker store Royal (Eindhoven, NL) and
Kangaroos were happy to present their first
collaboration together. The result was a very
limited edition of the Coil R1 model called
‘Frisse.’ This is one of the many names of
Holland’s most popular mc’s, Fresku, who
participated in the project as well.
Build around the theme ‘Tijd voor creativiteit’ (Time for creativity), a song from Fresku’s
latest album ‘Maskerade,’ the shoe features
special artwork by Studio Pluriform, the
agency responsible for all Fresku related artwork and designs.
The shoe comes in a black/fre sky blue
colorway with 3M detailing and a mix of
mesh, suede and nylon. It features a full
graphic insole, a lace lock and logos of all
participating parties. The shoe dropped in
September ‘13 with a limited run of 200
pairs and was quickly sold out at Royal and
selected sneaker stores.

The Hype about OVERKILL and KangaROOS
For the first time, KangarROOS is collaborating
with VIOVIO, the sneaker and streetwear
brand founded in 2008 by Carlo “Cro”
Waibel. KangaROOS x VIOVIO will introduce
the highly-anticipated Black & White package
in February 2014. The KangaROOS hi-top
basketball sneaker SKYWALKER IV is an
essential component of the cooperation,
and stands out with its glow-in-the-dark look,
triangular eyelets and reflective logos. The
package also includes a strikingly stylish
reversible windbreaker, a square-cut hoodie,
a beanie and a gym bag, all in the same style
as the hi-tops.
COIL-R1 OVERKILL x KangaROOS – THE ABYSS set another key
milestone in the history of KangaROOS. The collaboration was a
big hit for KangaROOS this year. It immediately sold out both at
OVERKILL and at the Parisian concept store Colette. The ABYSS
was the most popular and highly regarded ROOS model of 2013.

the Berlin Store. In the early hours of the morning a waiting queue waited
after a predetermined ranking lists for the “Abyss” release.
