TheHoldingspageisthemainpageforviewingallofyourindividualsecuritiesand
holdingsthatareinyourportfolios.Thisisalsowhereyoucangotoedityour
portfolios,addnewholdings,orevencreatebrandnewportfolios.
1. PortfolioTotals:Thisareaiswhereyouwillseeyourportfoliograndtotal,

4. Expand/CollapseAll:Thisishowyoucancontrolifyouwantyourportfolios
tobe“Open”(showingeachindividualsecurityinside)or“Closed”(showing
onlythehighleveldetailsliketotalamountanddailygain).PressingExpand
willopenalloftheseup,whileCollapsewillclosethem.Ifyouwishtodothis
individually,justclicktheplusorminussymbolnexttoeachportfolio.
5. IndividualHoldings:Whenyourportfoliosareopen,youcanseethe
individualsecuritiesinside.Togetfurtherdetails,youcanclickdirectlyon
thetickersymboltogetadeeperbreakdown.Alladditionaldetailswillbe
heldincolumnstotheleftofthetickersymbol.
6. Download/Print:Hereiswhereyoucandownloadtheentireportfolioasa

buttonheretoswaptothe$chart.Thiswillshowthe$valueofyour
portfolio,includingdepositsandwithdrawalsthatmayhaveoccurredduring
thetimeperiod.
4. ChartTimeframes:Clickonthesetoswaptoadifferenttimeframeforyour
portfolio.Currently,themaximumamountofdatawecanshowisupto1
yearinthepast.
5. AdditionalCharts:Scrolldowntoseeadditionaldetailsonyourportfoliolike
AssetAllocationandBeta.Wehaveadditionalchartsanddetailsonthispage
thatgivesyouabetterideaofhowyourportfoliosareputtogetherandhow
theyareperforming.

TheGuidancepageisanexpandedversionofwhattheReportCardusedtobe.Now,
youcandigdeeperintoissuesthatmaybeeffectingyourportfolioandreceive
furtherdetailsonwhatexactlywearemeasuringandwhyitisimportant.
PleasenotethatcurrentlytheGuidancepagecanonlyworkwithSyncedaccounts.

1. Questionnaire:TousetheGuidancepage,firstweneedtoknowwhatkindof
investoryouare.Takethequickquestionnairesothatwecanassignarisk
leveltobaseyouroptimalportfolioon.Onceyouhavetakenthequiz,youcan
alwaysclickthe“RetakeQuestionnaire”buttontotakeitagain.
2. ChooseAccounts:Here,youcandecideexactlywhichportfoliosyouwould
likethesystemtoanalyze.Simplyclickthisanduncheckanyaccountsyoudo
notwantincludedintheGuidancetool.
3. AddAccounts:Ifyouhaveanyaccountsthatarenotcurrentlylinked,click
heretosyncyourbrokerageaccountssoourGuidancesystemcantakea
look.
Onceyourportfolioisanalyzed,youwillgetabreakdownofyourportfolio.Clickon
anyoftheitemsforfurtherdetails,orsimplyscrolldownonthepage.
HowToInstructions
HowtoCreateaPortfolio
Whenyouwouldliketocreateanewportfolio,therearetwotypesyoucancreate.
First,youcancreatea“Synced”portfoliowhichisaportfoliothatislinkeddirectly
toyourbrokerage.Thiswillupdateallyoursharesandcostbasisautomatically,
insteadofrequiringyoutoenterinthedetailsforeachholding.Theotherisa
Manualportfolio,whichdoesnotupdateautomatically,butallowsforfinercontrol
asyoucanchangethenumberofsharesandcostbasiswheneverthereisachange.
Tostarteither,justclickthe+AddPortfolioButtononyourHoldingspage.
SyncedPortfolio
Tocreateasyncedportfolio,youcanstartbyclickingthe+AddPortfoliobutton.
Fromthere,youcanchooseyourbrokeragefromthelistthatappearsorusethe
searchbaratthetoptofindabrokeragethatisn’tlisted.
Whenyouselectabrokerage,itwillwalkyouthroughthestepsofenteringinyour
credentials.Makesureyoufollowtheinstructionsastheymayaskfordifferent
detailsthanwhatyounormallyusetologintoyourbrokeragesite.
Whenyouaredone,justpresstheblueSyncBrokeragebuttonatthebottomofthe
page.ThiswillconnectyourportfolioandyouwillbeabletoseeitonyourHoldings
page.
ManualPortfolio
JustliketheSyncedportfolio,youwillstartbyclickingthe+AddPortfoliobutton.
Fromhere,selectthe“CreateaManualPortfolio”buttonatthebottomofthebox
thatappears.
Onceyouclickthis,youwillstarttosetupyourportfolio.
1. Enterinyourportfolioname.Thisisrequiredtocreatetheportfolioandwill
bedisplayedontheHoldingspageasthetitlefortheportfolio.
2. +AddHoldings–Clickthistoaddinanewholding.Anewbarwillappear
whenyouclickthisbutton.Simplyputintheticker,clickthecompanyname
thatappears,andthenyouwillseewheretoenterinsharesandcost
information.
3. +AddCash–Clickthistocreateanewfieldwhereyoucanenterinacash
amountfortheportfolio.
4. CreatePortfolio–Clickingherewillcreatetheportfolio.Thiswillsaveallof
theworkyouhavedoneandcreatetheportfolioontheHoldingspage.
HowtoEditaPortfolio
Toeditaportfoliothatalreadyexists,allyouneedtodoisclickonthe“EditThis
Portfolio”buttontotherightofyourportfolioname.Ifyoudonotseethisright
away,makesureyourportfolioisopenbyclickingthe+signtotheleftofthe
portfolioname.
Clickingherewillopenuptheportfolioandshowalloftheindividualholdings.To
edit,simplyclickonthenumberyouwouldliketoeditandreplaceitwithan
updatednumber.
Whenyouaredoneediting,justpresstheSAVECHANGESbuttoninthebottomright
handcornertosavetheworkyouhavecompleted.Ifthereisaproblem,youwillnot
beabletosave.Checkwhatyouhavebeeneditingtoseeifanyoftheboxeshave
turnedlightred.Ifso,itmeansthereisaprobleminthatparticularbox.Common
issuesareincluding$signs,commas,orotherspecialcharacters.Removetheseand
itshouldSAVEnormally.
Note:IfyourportfolioisaSYNCEDportfolio,youwillonlybeabletoeditthecost
basisontheportfolio.Thesharesarelocked,asthisisinformationthatisupdated

HowtoaddapurchaseorsaletoanExistingHolding
Toeditaholdingthatalreadyexists,allyouneedtodoisclickonthe“EditThis
Portfolio”buttontotherightofyourportfolioname.Ifyoudonotseethisright
away,makesureyourportfolioisopenbyclickingthe+signtotheleftofthe
portfolioname.
Now,youwillneedtoclickonthebuttonmarkedEdittotherightofthetickerthat
youwishtoedit.Thiswillopenupthetransactionwindowthatwillletyouaddina
purchaseorasaletoaholdingthatalreadyexists.
Onthenewwindow,tostart,pressthe+AddTransactionsbuttontoaddanewline
fortheportfolio.
Youcanaddasmanynewlinesasyouwouldlikebypressingthe+Add
Transactionbutton.Forpurchases,useapositivenumberofshares,andforsales,
useanegativeamountofshares.
Whenyouaredone,justpressSaveUpdatesintheverybottomrightcorner.Ifyou
havetroublesaving,pleasemakesureyouhaveadatefilledinforeverytransaction.
Ifyouaremissingadate,itwillnotsaveproperly.
HowtoaddanewHoldingtoanExistingManualPortfolio
Ifyouhaveanewholdingthatyouwouldliketoaddtoyourmanualportfolio,you
candosoeasily.Allyouneedtodoisclickonthe“EditThisPortfolio”buttontothe
rightofyourportfolioname.Ifyoudonotseethisrightaway,makesureyour
portfolioisopenbyclickingthe+signtotheleftoftheportfolioname.
Onceyouareinsidetheportfolio,youwillneedtoclickthe“AddHolding”button,
justlikeyoudidwhenyouwerecreatingtheportfolio.
Inthenewboxthatappears,enterinthetickersymboloftheholdingyouwantto
addandthenselectthecompanynamethatappearsbelow.Thiswilladdtheholding
intotheportfoliosoyoucanenterinthesharesandcostbasis.
Onceyouclickonthecompanyname,thetickersymbolwillbeaddedtoyour
portfolioandthenyoucanenterinthesharesandcostbasis.Whenyouaredone,
justpressSAVECHANGES.
Ifthereisaproblem,youwillnotbeabletosave.Checkwhatyouhavebeenediting
toseeifanyoftheboxeshaveturnedlightred.Ifso,itmeansthereisaproblemin
thatparticularbox.Commonissuesareincluding$signs,commas,orotherspecial
characters.RemovetheseanditshouldSAVEnormally.
HowtoDeleteaHoldingfromaPortfolio
Ifyouwishtoremoveaholdingfromyourmanualportfolio,youcandosoeasily.All
youneedtodoisclickonthe“EditThisPortfolio”buttontotherightofyour
portfolioname.Ifyoudonotseethisrightaway,makesureyourportfolioisopenby
clickingthe+signtotheleftoftheportfolioname.
OnceyouhaveopenedyourportfoliowiththeEditthisPortfoliobutton,youshould
seeacolumnmarkedDELETEtotherightofeachholdinginyourportfolio.To
deleteaholding,simplychecktheboxinthecolumnmarkeddeletenexttothe
holdingyouwantremoved.
Whenyouhaveselectedalloftheholdingsyouwantremoved,clicktheSave
Changesbutton.Thiswillaskthatyouconfirmthedeletionandthenwillremove
theholdingfromyourportfolio.
HowtoDeleteaPortfolio
Beforeremovingaportfolio,pleasenotethatonceaportfolioisremovedwecannot
restoreitfromourend.Alldeletionsarepermanent,sopleasekeepthisinmind.
Tostart,clickontheSettingsbuttonintheupperrighthandcornerofyour
portfolio.
OnceyouclickSettingsyoushouldseeawindowthatwilllistallofyourportfolios.
Totherighthandside,youwillseeaDELETEoptionnexttoeachportfolio.Simply
clickthis,thenconfirm,andyourportfoliowillbefullyremoved.
Onceconfirmed,youshouldnolongerseetheportfolioappearinganywhereonyour
account.

seetheminyouraccount.Goto“Holdings”tabatthetopofthepageandthenclick
on“EditThisPortfolio”totherightofyourportfolionametoviewtheindividual
holdings.
• Howcomemyinternationalorpreferredstockisnotbeingrecognized?
InternationalandpreferredstocksarenolongersupportedinournewPortfolios.
However,ifyouhadthesestocksbeforeourupgrade,youshouldseetheminyour
account.Goto“EditAPortfolio”andfindyourmanualportfolioandclick“Edit
Holdings.”Then,clickthedrop-downarrownexttotheTickernameandyou’llsee
yourtransactionhistory.
• HowdoIdeleteallmydata?
Gotothe“Settings”buttonintheupperrighthandcornerandhitdeleteonallof
