It has long been recognized for its contribution to the boating industry and it is often referred to as the “Venice of Michigan” for its vast waterway system. Algonac is the birthplace of Chris Craft Boats and is the former home of Gar Wood Boats. Clay is known for its marsh system and its hunting and fishing opportunities. In late 2014, The Riverbank Theater opened and joined its predecessor, The Snug Theater, downtown. Both theaters boast waterfront locations. Hungry?
