Clay - Algonac
Algonac embraces its nautical history, as does its neighbor, Clay
Township. It has long been recognized for its contribution to the
boating industry and it is often referred to as the “Venice of Michigan”
for its vast waterway system. Algonac is the birthplace of Chris Craft
Boats and is the former home of Gar Wood Boats. Clay is known for its
marsh system and its hunting and fishing opportunities.

Marine City
A long-time “must-do” destination for antique collectors,
historic Marine City has also become a hot spot for live theatrical
productions. In late 2014, The Riverbank Theater opened and joined
its predecessor, The Snug Theater, downtown. Both theaters boast
waterfront locations. Hungry? Whether it’s fresh Great Lakes fish,
sizzling steak, specialty candies or baked goods, local options for
dining abound both on and off the water. Visitors can enjoy a
romantic getaway complete with spa treatments, a family vacation
on the beach or a girlfriends’ trip (try a quilting-themed bed and
breakfast!). Marine City is a waterfront community full of warmth and
small-town charm.

Walk along the world’s longest freshwater wooden boardwalk and
watch Great Lakes freighters pass so close you think you could touch
them and you will understand why residents wouldn’t call any other
place home. Founded in 1764, at the junction of the St. Clair and Pine
rivers, the city continues to preserve its charm through its downtown
parks and gardens.

Marysville
The waterfront City of Marysville rests on the banks of the St. Clair
River. This family-oriented town is abundant in commerce as well
as recreation. Its commercial corridor fulfills the convenience of
every-day needs with retail and restaurants; a picturesque setting
along the river provides enjoyable pastime activities. Its dynamic city
park includes events, a fantastic splash pad, picnic areas, pavilions,
playgrounds, 6 baseball diamonds and fitness area. Chrysler Beach
is a refreshing place to go on a hot afternoon and the gazebo is a
prime location for freighter watching. A boardwalk winds through a
menagerie of plants native to Michigan, part of the “Bridge to Bay”
bike path perfect for biking, strolling or fishing.
