The season stars with a return performance from Joan Baez, who has
once again sold out well in advance of her performance date and is sure
to be an amazing evening for all who have tickets. Great entertainment
continues when the Chinese State Circus join us and perform their amazing
new Yin Yang production, and you can read a special interview with Creative
Director, Philip Gandy by using the QR code on page 7.
Brit Award winning group Blake will be returning to Salisbury this spring and will be
performing at City Hall, sure to delight all with their amazing four part harmony.
Plus, in partnership with the Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival, we are
delighted to jointly present Suzanne Vega and Joan Armatrading, which will be just
two of the many performances that will form part of this year’s festival.
And of course, top class comedy. Amongst the many comedians we will welcome
this year, Kevin Bridges will be with us for the first time and favourite Jimmy Carr will
perform to a sold out auditorium again in May, but if you missed out on tickets he will
be back in September.

Since she began her legendary residency at Boston’s famed
Club 47 and her debut at the 1959 Newport Folk Festival,
Joan Baez remains a musical force of nature whose influence
is incalculable. Her earliest recordings fed a host of traditional
ballads into the rock vernacular, before she unselfconsciously
introduced Bob Dylan to the world in 1963.

Swan Lake
This timeless favourite is set to Tchaikovsky’s superb score.
World-renowned soloists Nadezda Ivanova, Andrey Shalin and
Dmitry Smirnov lead the Moscow Ballet Company under the
direction of Elik Melikov. This is the ultimate fairy tale ballet for
old and young alike.
The famous act II of Swan Lake was choreographed by Ivanov
as part of a memorial tribute to Tchaikovsky, who had died the
year before.

to play one of the most loved works in the cello repertoire, contrasted by

Young Musicians
Showcasing some of Salisbury’s brightest instrumental and
vocal talents, more than 400 children and young people will
take part in these two concerts with ensembles ranging from
choirs to jazz bands.
String Spectacular will feature the work of the string
ensembles, choirs and the Salisbury Youth Orchestra. Band
Bonanza will see performances from six wind and jazz bands.
If you have a child interested in playing an instrument, these
concerts are not to be missed.

Joe Brown
Premier rock ‘n’ roll legend Joe Brown goes from strength to strength as his
contemporary achievements continue to gather momentum.

Paul Brady
Paul Brady, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is one of Ireland’s most

On show nights, the bar and
confectionary points both open an hour
before the show starts. You can purchase
a range of refreshments including
alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, sweets,
crisps and ice cream, as well as ordering
interval drinks.
Wheelchair users and those in receipt of
Disability Living Allowance, Incapacity Benefit,
Income Support or Job Seeker’s Allowance can
claim our City Concession by contacting the

Payment and postage
We accept all major cards, except American
Express. Tickets can be posted to you for £1
or held at the Ticket Office for collection.

Discounts and concessions:
Discounts and concessions must be applied for at the time of booking. We
reserve the right to introduce special offers at any time.
Refunds and exchanges:
Once paid for, tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. If a show has sold
out, the Ticket Office may be able to re-sell tickets and offer a credit voucher
minus a small administration charge.
Conditions of ticket purchase:
City Hall management reserves the right to refuse admission to ticket holders
who have purchased tickets via secondary or unauthorized sale.
The use of cameras, camcorders, video mobiles and audio equipment is
prohibited. Latecomers to performances will not be admitted until a suitable
break, which may not be until the interval.
