McLanahan Sand-Manure Separators utilize proven sand-processing technology. Efficient,
reliable, and easy to manage, our systems recover sand that is suitable for re-use within
days and with only minimal amounts of fine sand remaining in the separated manure effluent.
With the help of our sales and engineering staff, McLanahan system designs can easily be
incorporated into your existing facilities to meet your current manure processing needs.
They can also be designed to accommodate future expansion or new construction, as well
as any downstream manure processing system such as liquid-solid separation or anaerobic
digestion.

Liquid-Solid Separator
ULTRA System
The McLanahan Rotary Liquid-Solid Separator is built to separate solids and
improve water quality. Our Rotary Separator not only provides recycled water
for your sand separation systems (closed loop undiluted or diluted), it can be
used to concentrate manure streams prior to entering an anaerobic digestion
system or any advanced nutrient removal system.
McLanahan’s ULTRA System helps keep your manure stream clean whether
or not you bed with sand. The ULTRA System can be used for pre-treatment
to separate fine sand prior to anaerobic digestion or nutrient removal. ULTRA
Systems are sized to process the flow requirements of your specific system.

We Are Pioneers In Sand Solution Technology
In 1998, McLanahan’s Agricultural Systems Division installed its first Sand-Manure
Separation System in Elsie, Michigan. That system still plays an integral role in separating
sand from manure prior to the farm’s anaerobic digestion system. Today, our systems are
