LDP Facilitator’s Trip to Mondulkiri Province
Written by Mr. Lun Borey, Head, Learning & Development
Edited by Ms. Lim Po Tean (Tania), CFO Division
Canadia Bank has incorporated with People
Element (Singapore) to roll-out Leadership
Development Program (LDP) with the total quality
to help everyone of our employee reach their
fullest potential as a leader.
Based on the actual feedback among our Direct
Manager, Facilitators and Participants themselves,
LDP is really something we need in the right time,
right situation with vital value to help our staff
development and positive changes toward our
Bank Strategic Goal.
With LDP inspiration, we of course, impressed to
hear our management’s testimonies as following:
• “During our LDP Certificate Delivery, CEO
remarked that LDP is about changes and
only with constantly change would help
us to survive in this competitive market.
Therefore, LDP would pave the way for our
staff to identify their strengths and work hard
and smart to reach their full potential then
everyone succeeds.” _Michael Lor, CEO
• “I do believe LDP is a value-added approach,
I could see numerous improvements after my
staff participation. For instance, based on the
module itself, my BSO have improved and
impacted his performance on how he works
with other staff and documentation.” _Sir
Sowath, Takeo Branch Manager
• “We are proud to say that our branch has Great
Service since many of our staff have obtained
the GSTP Medals; of course, after some of
February 2014 No. 39
my staff have attended LDP on the subject
of CFI, they do not only enhance his/her
performance on how to communicate with
either internal or external customer but also
this great practices inspire other members
to follow.” _San Phalla, Battambang Branch
Manager
With the initiative from Chairman and CEO on
February 14-16, 2014, our LDP facilitators’ Team
has been approved to visit Mondulkiri Province
based on 3 significant reasons:
1. To strengthen our relationship among each
other as well as to share LDP Facilitation
practical experience;
2. To conduct necessary research of the
Mondulkiri Market in term of geographic
area and staffing so that we could open our
new branch there successfully;
3. To take sometimes off and refresh ourselves
after a hard day at work.
During our 3 days and 2 nights trip, we had a
great time travelling, working together as ONE
team and took sometimes to offer some gifts to
the minorities people there; more importantly,
conducted market research and look for the
potential area for our new branch opening.
Taking this huge opportunity, we also would
like to extend our sincere gratitude to our Top
Management for this fruitful outcome trip and we
do believe that it will bring a lot of benefits and
contributions to our Bank’s success as a whole.

Automated Teller Machine (ATM) Card Removes Photo
Written by Ms. Keo Chanrida, Centralized Operations Division
Edited by Ms. Lim Po Tean (Tania), CFO Division
During the process of embossing card with photo,
ATM Department productivity can emboss card
only around 200 cards per day, which cannot fulfill
all branches’ needs at the same time. To improve
this process, according to memorandum from
Ms. Leang Soklang, Co-ATM Head, under subject
of “Removing Card Holder’s Photo from the
Bank ATM Card” has approved from our CEO, Mr.
Michael Lor. Its content is focusing on removing
the cardholder’s photo from ATM Card because
united opinion aligned with one another to agree
that the photo on ATM has no effect in security
concern for use.
On 27th November 2013, Canadia Bank signed
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with
Ministry of Economic and Finance to provide payroll
service for the Royal Government of Cambodia.
To follow our slogan “Your Best Partner”, and
our core values “TOP: Trust, Ownership, and
Performance Driven”, all branches of Canadia
Bank both in Phnom Penh and Provinces work very
hard from the beginning stages to the last steps
for Government Payroll Project. The beginning
stages include personal contact with Ministries
or Departments that choose payroll service from
Canadia Bank, offsite completing account opening
application form, uploading supporting document
to our core banking system T24, applying for
Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card to Head
Office, ATM Department and offsite delivery ATM
Card and Note Card. And, the last step is the
process of payroll for their responsible Ministries
and Departments by each month respectively.
Due to this memo, it pushes the capacity of
ATM Department both physically and spiritually.
The physical idea refers to the speed of embossing
card up to around 700 cards per day. It is a huge
increase. The ATM Department can push the speed
thrice comparing to previous process. On the
other hand, spiritual concept, ATM Department
can emboss card to all branches network on timely
manner, which is one part of many factors that
we can prove that Canadia Bank is the best bank
which serve the best services in Cambodia.
At the end, I would like to take this opportunity
to express my gratitude to all of branches and all
relevant departments of Canadia Bank Plc had work
corporately on this Government Payroll Project. In
absence among each of you, this process cannot
run smoothly and successfully. Last of all, I believe
that this team work spirit will stay everlasting
because we are under the same roof, Canadia Big
Family.
ATM Department at Head Office plays a
significant role for embossing cards for all corners
of our branches network especially for Government
Payroll Project demanding huge amount of cards.
Since the beginning point of Government Payroll
Process, ATM card has to be printed with physical
cal
photo which is the practical process as usual.

Neak Loeung Branch, the Winner of Golden and
Silver Medals from Canadia Bank GSTP Project
Written by Ms. Moung Makara, Teller at Neak Loeung Branch
Translated by Ms. Sim Lenmaly, Recruitment Officer
Edited by Ms. Tann Sivkong, Chairman Office
It is worth mentioning that, all staffs at Neak
Loeung Branch perform their works well, and
they focus on customer satisfaction, which like
one phrase said, “no customer no business, no
business no job available”, therefore, we have to
keep our existing customers while finding more
new customers.
GSTP Project (Greet, Smile, Thanks, and
Personalize) is an effective project that every staff
should apply at their workplace and social lives
achievement.
Canadia Bank Plc. is a largest local and strongest
bank in Cambodia, which gains trust from
every individual customer to use our services
everywhere and every time. Because of the
endless development, Canadia Bank continues to
expend its branches and new products to satisfy
customers’ needs.
In the third step, Ms. Thorn Ratha won Golden
medal; she got the highest overall score among
all Canadia branches and rewarded USD 500
as encouragement. Furthermore, Neak Loeung
Branch itself also got USD 500 for this achievement.
Branch Manager, Mr. Him Rattanak, appropriately
used this rewarded fund to organize a gathering
party for all Neak Leoung Branch staff. All staffs at
Neak Loeung are absolutely delighted to the result
of their efforts and would like to say thanks to Top
Management. They promise to keep continuing
their collaboration in order to achieve new goals
which set by the management.
Consecutively, Neak Loeung Branch of Canadia
Bank is the winner of GSTP Project; especially,
Golden and Silver medals. It is the enormous
pride that Neak Loeung Branch won overall score
among all Canadia Bank branches. Depending on
the collaboration between front office and back
office staffs, it is totally right like a quote said, “a
bunch of chopsticks cannot be easily broken”; this
cooperation makes our customers feel happy and
satisfied with our services. Also, they have spent
their valuable time to write appreciation letter
for our bank, which motivate us more to continue
providing exceptional service. This excellent
customer service will encourage our customers,
satisfied them, and make them have closer
relationship with our staff whenever they use our
services, though there are many competitors.
