Meet Natalie Hernandez
It is with great enthusiasm that we
welcome Natalie
Hernandez to the
Los Angeles County
Chicano Employees
Association's family. Ms. Hernandez
is looking forward
to advocating for
our members.

the Los Angeles
County Public Defender. Her

many years until
she became the
Drop-out Prevention Coordinator
and ultimately
oversaw the Magnet School as the
Coordinator of that
program.
Ms. Hernandez was
born in Panorama
City, CA and grew
up in the small
town of Acton, CA.
She is the middle
daughter, with an
older and younger
sister; all of whom
are involved in the
legal field. Her fa-

graduated from
San Fernando High
School, and attended Mount
Saint Mary’s College in Brentwood,
CA. Receiving a
double Bachelor’s
Degree in Pre-Law
and Philosophy

with a minor in
Business. She attended Glendale
University College
of Law, in Glendale, CA, where she
received her Juris
Doctorate Degree.
Prior to beginning
law school Ms. Hernandez backpacked through
Europe for a Month
and a half visiting
England, France,
Switzerland, Luxemburg, Italy, Belgium, Amsterdam
and Germany.
Later that summer,
she worked as a
legal researcher on
a documentary that
presented at the
Berlinale Film festival in Berlin, Germany, which she
attended.
Ms. Hernandez focused her legal
training in Immigration Law, Civil
Litigation and
Criminal Law. Her
most recent internship was with the Los
Angeles County District Attorney’s Office
at the San Fernando
Branch. For the last
few years she has
spent many hours
volunteering for several Domestic Violence Programs providing legal support.
Ms. Hernandez is a
second-generation
LACCEA member.
During her free time
she enjoys running
(she ran the L.A.
Marathon in 2011),
surfing, swimming,
soccer, and is currently training for a
triathlon.
