President’s Message
Fellow Rotarians ,
It was nice to have good presence
for the special general body meet held
at Hotel key's on 17th July 2013.
It has been always a hot topic to
increase the fees and this time also it was
no different. But it was really difficult to
manage considering the increase in
dollar prices, addition of service tax, and the hotel expense.
I thank you all for considering this and agreeing to increase
annual membership fees to Rs.13000/- including Service
Tax.
As I mentioned earlier also, it is expected from every
member their Presence, Participation and also the Payment
of dues.
Hope all of us submit the fees immediately as the SAR
demand invoice has been received by us. As all of us follow
the Rotary ethics and will submit the SAR in time.
Fortunately DG of our district is from our club due to
which all of us shown a very good start in RI foundation.
And we need focus on all the following avenues
strategically. Just for everyone’s information, our avenues
of service as follows:
Club Service : focuses on strengthening fellowship and
ensuring the effective functioning of the club.
Vocational Service : encourages Rotarians to serve
others through their vocations and practice high ethical
standards.
Community Service: covers the projects and activities
the club undertakes to improve life in its community.
International Service: encompasses actions taken to
expand Rotary’s humanitarian reach around the globe and
promote world understanding and peace.
New Generations Service: recognizes the positive
change implemented by youth and young adults through
leadership development activities such as RYLA, Rotaract
and Interact club service projects, and creating
international understanding with Rotary Youth Exchange

emphasize Rotary's unique commitment to vocational
service by leveraging professional opportunities to
Engage Rotary, Change Lives. Through vocational
service initiatives, we can engage Rotary in our
workplace. And by combining professional expertise and
service, we can have a positive impact on local and
international communities. Here are a just a few ideas
for activities your club can undertake:
· Start a career counseling or vocational training
program and invite non-Rotarian community
members to attend.
· Organize a discussion or workshop on
workplace ethics and invite local nonRotarian business leaders to attend.
· Sponsor a career day in which club members
bring young people to their places of
business to inform them about career
opportunities.
Completing one of these activities can help your club
qualify for the 2013-14 Presidential Citation
