Count Odet Philippe, believed to be the first
European settler in Pinellas County, arrived in
Safety Harbor in the 1830’s. Count Philippe
is credited with introducing Grapefruit
to Florida. Safety Harbor is proud of our
grapefruit legacy. This guide will help you
enjoy our City, help us continue to celebrate
grapefruit, and provide you an opportunity
to see some of the work of our talented local
artists.
Enjoy the tour and thank you for visiting
Safety Harbor.
