Just apply to pipe and seal tabs. Then run the pressure sensitive tape provided lineally on heel and throat. IIG Insulation Products Sproule WR-1200™ with Perlite Pipe & Block Insulation A rigid, high-temperature pipe and block insulation with exceptional corrosion-inhibiting properties. For use on systems operating up to 1200°F (649°C), it is recommended for industrial processing and power generating facility applications using stainless steel piping. Corrosion Rate (Mils/Year) of Carbon Steel when tested with DI Water and 1ppm and 5ppm Chloride Water. Corrosion Rates (Mils/Year) of Carbon Steel when tested with various ASTM C871 extractions, DI water, 1ppm and 5ppm Chloride Water. Corrosion Rate less than three indicates the Rate of the tested materials were less than that caused by DI water. Therefore it inhibits corrosion. Average of Measured Corrosion Rates MinWool–1200 Pipe, Board, Batt and Blanket Made from inorganic fibers derived from basalt, a volcanic rock, with a thermosetting resin binder.
