In addition to all the great events that will be held over the next few
months, we are excited to announce the renovation of the Grille
Room beginning in early January 2016. The renovation will entail
a top to bottom remodel of the entire interior space and will include
new banquet seating, flooring, furniture, wall coverings and
chandeliers. While under renovation, Member dining will take
place in Restaurant 37.
Thank you for making the past year a memorable one. I wish you

As this year has passed by so quickly, I wish to

This year, we were fortunate to welcome many

2015 was a unique weather
year and full of high profile events. January and
February were a combination of snow and rain,
freezing and thawing. The course completely
thawed in March, but was left with some
residual damage. We got to work repairing the
injured areas and hosted a great International
Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) event.
April arrived and it was still cold. We continued
bringing back the areas we lost on Banks
greens by seeding and topdressing. We also
covered and uncovered the poorest spots as
play allowed. Opening Day was enjoyed by all,
and we were honored to hold the Building
Homes for Heroes outing. By May the turf was
coming around just in time to host an American
Junior Golf Tour (AJGT) event. That was a great
experience for us, and the tour liked Forsgate
so much they will be returning next year to play
the Palmer course. We ended the month with
the start of our Member tournaments.
It was all about rain in June. We received above
normal amounts, which sustained us through
the rest of the summer heat. July, August and
well into September was hot and dry. The
courses struggled at times, but overall fared
quite well in these difficult conditions. Over the
summer, we got to witness some fantastic golf
during the U.S. Amateur Qualifier and the N.J.
State Golf Association Four Ball Championship.
The New Jersey Association was so impressed
by our facility that they asked us to stage the
2017 State Senior Open – an honor we gladly
accepted. We also hosted the R.A. Schiavone
Cup and crowned our Men’s and Women’s Club
Champions. As September arrived, we were
presented with another challenge as some
Banks course greens succumbed to a
particularly aggressive disease. We got it
under control and, as aerification time rolled
around, it finally started to rain again.
2015 was at time trying, satisfying, exciting and
emotionally draining. We certainly had our ups
and downs, but we worked hard and were
proud of the conditions, especially considering
Mother Nature. As this year closes, the grounds
department would like to thank you for your
continued support of the Club and wish all of
you a happy and healthy holiday season.

Quistara Roberson, BS MS CPT
Strength and Conditioning Coach
Quistara Roberson is originally from
Howell, NJ. She was a varsity track
and field player, and continued to
compete at the University of
Hartford. In college, she completed
her Masters degree in Biomedical
Sciences at the University of
Medicine and Dentistry of New
Jersey. During her studies and
research at the university, she
realized her love for fitness and helping others. As a part
of the Elevate Team, her main goals are to specialize in
corrective exercise and sports training.

Where did 2015 go?! It’s hard to
believe the end of the year is already upon us and
winter is right around the corner. Come into the
Tartan Grille to get warm and try our new winter
2015/2016 menu. Some of your winter favorites
have returned and you must try some of the new
delicious dishes specially prepared by our
excellent chefs in the kitchen. Our new menu
begins November 2nd.
Don’t forget to bring your family and come
celebrate Thanksgiving in Restaurant 37 with our
decadent buffet featuring all of the Thanksgiving
favorites.
Shortly thereafter, come and visit Santa during the
holiday season at Forsgate. Sunday, December
13th and Sunday, December 20th are our annual
