Thermozone® AR3500 3 2 Lengths: 1, 1,5 and 2 metres Electrical heat R Water heat Thermozone® AR3500 Intelligent air curtains for recessed mounting upto 3,5 metres Application AR3500 belongs to a new generation of intelligent air curtains with SIRe integrated controls, together they can provide fully automatic protection for the entrance, adaptable to each area of use. Recessed mounting makes AR3500 very discreet and especially suited for environments with high demands in respect of design. Comfort Several factors need to cooperate to create a comfortable indoor climate. With Thermozone Technology an efficient air separation is created in combination with a low sound level. With the integrated SIRe the air curtain is automatically controlled as required, which reduces the sound levels even further. Operation and economy Air curtains save energy. The air barrier reduces energy losses through the door opening and the energy consumption of the air curtain is also low. AR3500 never uses more energy than is necessary. Eco-mode is available for further energy savings. The aircurtain can be controlled and monitored by the BMS system. Design AR3500 is designed for recessed installation and colouring is possible to make it blend even better with the premises. The air curtain is installed horizontally with the supply air grille facing downwards as close to the door as possible, concealed in the false ceiling. The only visible part of the unit is the underside that is level with the ceiling. For the protection of wider doorways, several units can be mounted next to each other. Ensure that the service hatch is accessible and can be fully opened. Minimum distance from outlet to floor is 1800 mm, see Fig. 1. Connection AR3500E 3 Connection is made on the side of the unit. For units with electrical heating, power and control should be supplied separately. Control (230V~) and power supply for heat (400V3~) should be connected to a terminal block in the terminal box. The control system is pre-installed in the air curtain with an integrated PC board. SIRe is supplied preprogrammed with quick-release connections. Connection of water pipes to the water heating coil is of type DN20 (3/4”), inside thread. Cable glands can be made from the back, top or the sides of the unit. There are premarked holes for drilling at these locations. See Fig. 2 and wiring diagrams. The control system is pre-installed in the air curtain with an integrated PC board. SIRe is an intelligent and well designed low voltage control system which can be customised for each unique application and environment. SIRe is supplied pre-programmed with quick-release connections and is very easy to use and install. SIRe learns the requirements in the entrance it is installed in (ex. opening frequence and outdoor temperature). It has calendar function and selectable switch off at set temperatures for up to nine units. Because the fan speed is adapted, the sound level is optimised and is never higher than is necessary for comfort. With SIRe Advanced it is possible to choose between Eco and Comfort mode dependent on whether energy savings or optimal comfort has been prioritised.
