March is all about the importance of making smart food choices while
developing healthy eating habits!

Enjoy your food, but eat less-whatever you eat, make sure to slow down and savor
every bite. You’ll enjoy your food more while being happy with less.

Avoid oversized portions-pay attention to your body as you eat and stop when you
are no longer hungry. Eating until you are over-full is uncomfortable and leads to
eating too many calories.

Make half your plate fruits and vegetables– Aim to fill half you plate with a
rainbow of fruits and veggies. They’ll make you healthy and vibrant.

Make half your grains whole-replace at least half the grains you eat with whole
grains. Oatmeal & wheat bread are great!

Switch to fat-free or low-fat (1%) milk-Regardless of the fat content, all milks have
the same healthy nutrients like calcium, vitamin D, and vitamin A. Get all the
goodness of milk without extra fat and calories.
