CALVING
When a calf is born with a contracted
flexor tendon, the fetlock joint is caused
to knuckle under, causing serious
limitation to the mobility of the calf.
The BOS calf splint is applied to the back
of the leg, with the splint bottom edge
at ground level. With application of
the splint, the calf should have normal
mobility immediately. Remove the splint
after 4 - 5 days.
The small BOS cow splint is suitable for
Jersey or smaller Friesian cows, and the
large splint is suitable for larger Friesian
or Holstein cows. The splint should be
left in place for 4-7 days, depending on
the severity of the condition. In all cases
the splint can be moulded somewhat to
the individually required shape by use of
a heat gun or hair dryer. The BOS splint
can be reused many times.

The Mk2 Shoof Hoof Lifter is even
simpler, without the frame required
on the original model. The lifter simply
locks onto the pipe rail of a control race
or crush, with the rope looping over an
upper rail. The rope is pulled down and
attached to the cow’s ankle and the leg,
front or back and winched up to the
required height. Ideally the leg is then
secured to the appropriate rail, using a

large bag with rigid plastic hooks which
are hung on the pit rail where they

The hooks are suitable for rails up to

emptying the wearer simply steps out
to the required place and pulls the
velcro bag attachment apart, letting the
trimmings fall out. Bag will hold 50-100
tail trimmings.

Walkease is the new hoof repair block
from Shoof. Walkease has been created
as an early intervention hoof claw
prosthetic. It is not intended to replace
other conventional claw shoes currently
on the market. The Walkease block is
made from flexible EV material, that is
soothing for the cow to walk on. The
greatest advantage of the Walkease
is its speed and ease of application.
Walkease blocks can be used either way
up, so suit both left and right claws. The
block should stay on from 7-14 days,
which is generally long enough for the
treated claw to have made a recovery in
cases where the trauma was quite mild.

PRICE
Prices quoted in Price Lists are subject to change without
notice. The price charged will be that ruling on the day
of order unless otherwise agreed in writing, and will be
subject to value added tax and any other government
duty or tax applicable.
2. PAYMENT TERMS

3. FORCE MAJEURE
The seller shall be relieved of the performance of its
obligations for the duration and to the extent that it is
prevented in the performance of its obligations by
reasons of force majeure. For purposes of this clause
force majeure is defined as circumstances or events
which have not been foreseen at the time of the seller
and which prevent the performance of contractual
obligations hereunder and which are not capable of
being remedied. Acts of God, acts of war, acts of
Government, blockades, revolutions and industrial
disputes may constitute force majeure if the elements
thereof as defined in this clause exist.
4. RETENTION OF TITLE AND PASSING OF
PROPERTY

The ownership of all goods supplied and
under each contract between the seller and
the buyer shall remain with the seller until
such goods have been paid for in full.
Such retention of title shall not be deemed
to constitute an Agency or imply that the
buyer in any way acts as an Agent in
respect of the products supplied by the
seller.
In the absence of written advice from the
buyer to the carrier and seller described in
clause 5 below, the goods shall be deemed
to have been delivered and accepted by the
buyer complete and in satisfactory
condition.
The buyer hereby authorises the seller to
enter any premises of the buyer for the
purpose of re-possessing the products.
5. NOTIFICATION OF LOSS OF, DAMAGE TO,
OR NON-DELIVERY OF, GOODS OR
PACKAGES:
Claims for goods lost or damaged in transit will not be
entertained unless notice is given in writing of nondelivery or damage within 7 days of despatch. The
carrier should be notified immediately.
6. RETURNS POLICY:
Under no circumstances will goods be accepted for
return/credit where any of the following applies:
a)
Where the goods are returned without prior
authorisation in writing from the company.
b) Goods which are deemed to be in an un-saleable
condition.
c) Goods which are not in original sales units or have
broken seals.
d) Goods which have not been stored in accordance
with manufacturer’s instructions i.e. Vaccines.
e) Goods which have passed their sell by date.
Goods may be returned following prior written
notification by Agrihealth Ltd in the following
circumstances.
a)
Where the product has been deemed faulty or
damaged on arrival.
b) In the case of equipment, where goods are returned
under warranty for repair or replacement. However,
a credit will not be issued.
c) Where the wrong product has been dispatched in
error.
The seller reserves the right to recover any/all charges
associated with the disposal of the goods returned.
7. WARRANTY
Warranty on animal health equipment provides for free
repair of faults, due to faulty workmanship or materials,
which occur through normal use of the item in the
purpose for which it is intended in the 6 months from the
end-users date of purchase. Date of purchase must be
proven by the buyer in each and every case.
8. FREIGHT CHARGES & MINIMUM ORDER
VALUE
Delivery is free, however normal freight charges will
apply to orders under the value of €150.00/£130.00 net
of vat. Customers will be advised in advance of these
charges.
9. ASSIGNABILITY
This contract is personal to the parties hereto and shall
not be assigned to any third party of either the buyer or
the seller without the other party’s written consent.
10. LAW
This contract is deemed to be made in both Northern
Ireland and Southern Ireland under the regulations
governing both areas and is governed in all respects by
the authorities in both jurisdictions.
