powered movement is designed to solve one of the
primary assembly problems that confront everyone
making larger clocks — hour and minute hand spacing!
The distance on the shaft between the hour and minute
hands has been increased to help prevent longer hands from
binding. This also leaves enough room to accommodate the
counterweights that are commonly used on larger minute
hands.The hour and minute hands are sold separately. Choose a
pair of hands up to 171/2” long and have fun designing clocks
that are easy to read almost anywhere.

Clock Dials
All of our round metal clock dials are made in America out of aluminum. Each dial is printed with epoxy based inks
then baked to produce a long lasting durable finish. All of our metal dials have a protective plastic coating which
should be removed before use.
To determine the correct size of clock hands for each clock dial, take the overall size and subtract ½”. Divide this
number in half to get the correct size. (For example: a 6” dial has about ½” of border. 6” - ½” = 5½”, 5½” ÷ 2 =
2¾”. Your clock hands need to be about 2¾” long.)

Applying The Decal
Wipe the surface to be decaled to remove the dust.
Cut the decal from the sheet. Trim close to decal to remove excess plastic covercoat for the best
effect.
Soak decal in water for about 30 seconds. The decal will curl up and then begin to uncurl when
ready. Remove the decal from the water.
Place decal onto the surface of piece and pull backing paper out from underneath the decal. Do
not lift the decal off the paper. If the decal plastic folds under on itself, it can be difficult to separate
( like saran wrap).
Use a decal squeegee and a soft absorbent cloth to work the water and air bubbles out from
under the decal. Squeegee out from the center of the decal outward until all the water and air
bubbles are gone.The decal should not move on the surface.
Wipe off excess water with a soft towel.
To move or remove the decal, use a damp sponge to rewet the decal surface and carefully
reposition or remove and place on the backing paper again until needed.
Reapply using previous instructions.
Allow to dry thoroughly several hours or overnight before adding a seal coat.
To be dishwasher proof these decals need to be fired in a kiln.
