Outbound June 2010
It’s the most wonderful time of
the year....it’s PRIDEFEST! I can’t
believe it’s finally here! I just love
hitting the grounds, drinking a
few cold beers, meeting up with
friends, laughing with Joan
Rivers, drinking a few cold beers,
eating corn dogs, hitting the
dance tent, drinking a few cold
beers...you get the idea.
Not only is Pridefest and the
Pride Parade before us, but it’s
time for summer and that means
one thing...time to break out the
whore clothes. Right after I send
this column to my boss and finish my double espresso (Is the
Earth shaking or is it just me?),
I’m going to unpack my flip-flops
and thongs and welcome summer with open arms.
Speaking of new duds, be sure to
visit my cyber store for my line of
pride T-shirts, caps and more.

the onions are browned and

Refrigerate leftovers.

stir a handful of chopped peanuts
into the dip before serving or add
a little grated Parmesan cheese.
Nutella Brownies
Nutella is that damn chocolate/
hazelnut spread that I eat with a
spoon when I’m depressed. I think
it’s one of the best things on earth,
so you can image how happy I was
when Enid sent this recipe. “Don’t
leave yourself alone with these
brownies,” Enid jokes. “You’ll eat
the whole pan!”
4 large eggs
2 small containers of Nutella
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 teaspoons vanilla
2/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Dash salt
1 cup chocolate chips
2 cups chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. With an electric or
hand mixer, combine all ingredients in a large
mixing bowl. Pour in a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake for 40 minutes. Cool completely
before serving.
Ru th i e’ s C u li n a r y C l u es
Look for Nutella near the peanut butter at your grocery story. The brownies may not look done after
40 minutes, but they are. Simply let them cool before slicing. Enid suggests refrigerating the brownies overnight for best results. She also recommends
sifting powdered sugar over the brownies for an
extra touch.

King(s) Robert Parrish & Richard Steele and Nita
Soref, Jose Milan & Richard Beckman, State Senator
Tim Carpenter, and many other generous, caring individuals.
My only critique – seeing, as it was a Silver Anniversary Observation, it was a shame the very
rich, diverse, history of the Agency wasn’t shared.
There were so many past employees, board members, and long-time donors… it would have been
a treat to see them celebrated for their continuing
support and affiliation.
John McGivern offered a night of music, comedy,
and camaraderie to benefit a fabulous friend – Bonnie DeLeeuw. Not only did John have us in expected
stitches, he impressed us as he raised his voice in
song! The man can really sing! Who new? Steve?
Lisa Gatewood also raised her beautiful voice in
song, sharing not only her vocal talent, but song
writing talents too! Kathleen Dunbar came in all the
way from Las Vegas. She and Bonnie have been Pals
forever! Kathleen had us in the palm of her wellmanicured hand. So funny was she, that you
needed a towel! You had to be there… Tony Rafenstein, the “Wizard of the Keyboard” adjusted our
moods musically during the Silent Auction. Turning
out and on for Bonnie were: Rona, Tom G., Legs &
Jan, Mark Hagen & Todd Richards, Jerry Gin&Tonic,
Roger RamJet, Patty Z and Kathie from AHC, Gary,
Eleena, and MaryAnn from Victor’s, Kidd O’Shea,
and many, many more.
From The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts
Complex we ended up at The Wisconsin Club’s Garden Level – Alexander’s with Rick D’Amore serenading us ALA Sinatra, could there be a better way
to end an evening?
It’s June, therefore Congratulations Graduates!
UWM hosted a “Lavender Graduation”, acknowledging the lives and achievements of the graduating
students and honoring the contributions of the
UWM Students, Staff, and Faculty for their work
within the LGBTQIA Communities. Jen Murray, Director of the LGBT Resource Center should be commended for making this all happen! And to our

BEING BRITNEY Derrick Barry performs PrideFest
By Jorge Treviano
Derrick Barry has made a career out of being
Britney Spears. His impersonation of the pop
icon has landed him spots on numerous national TV programs including America's Got
Talent, The Today Show, The Tonight Show
with Jay Leno and ABC's The Next Best Thing.
Local fans can see him live when he brings his
Britney show to Milwaukee Pride on Friday,
June 11th.
Derrick Barry grew up in Modesto, California
where he trained as a gymnast from age five. At
twelve, he traded the parallel bars for the theatre
stage. In truth, it was the adrenaline he experienced from a cheering audience that inspired
him to make the change. Barry also realized musical theatre gave him the opportunity to perform with his body and voice.
Today, Barry utilizes that musical theatre
background in his career as an impersonator.
All of his stage performances incorporate live
vocals, whether singing the numbers live or
giving the audience an a cappella teaser.
Barry’s career as an impersonator began
seven years ago when he first dressed up as
Britney Spears for Halloween. His impeccably
accurate and choreographed impersonation of
the pop princess seems to flow naturally. It has
won him much praise – including from Britney
herself. In fact, the second time he dressed up
as Britney, Barry came face to face with the
princess of pop. Britney applauded Barry’s impersonation of her when he danced while she
was interviewed on The Tonight Show with Jay
Leno. Barry has even been featured several
times on Britney’s official website. While on
her recent Circus tour, Britney kept a copy of
their shared magazine cover in her dressing
room.
The adoration is mutual. “Britney inspires
me,” says Barry who shaved his head the day
after Britney Spears shaved hers in a sign of
solidarity. “Her music video concept for
“...Baby One More Time” remains iconic. She
proved her talent to the world and accomplished so much at a young age. I am excited
to see what is next in her career.”
As for Barry’s career, he recently added a new
pop icon to his six-nights-a week “Divas Las
Vegas” show: Lady Gaga.
“I am huge fan of her music,” he says, acknowledging that a significantly greater
amount of effort is required in order to create
an accurate representation of Lady Gaga, the
artist.
“I spend hours creating crazy costumes and
perfecting her elaborate make-up tricks,” continues Barry. On his days off, when not working on his vocals or choreography, Barry can
usually be found adorning his costumes with
Swarovski crystals.
The persistence has paid off. “Lady Gaga told
me I was beautiful. She was shocked to learn
that I do my own make-up.”
Before Barry added live vocals to his Gaga
act, he apologized to Lady Gaga for lip syncing
to her music. She responded, “It's okay, because if you didn't, you drag queens would put
us out of business."
Her job is safe. Derrick Barry’s ultimate career goal is not only in music. It’s actually in
comedy. More specifically, he’d love to land a
role on Saturday Night Live.
“Fans are surprised to learn that I am
more like Jim Carrey in my normal life. I am
always hiding around corners, scaring people, or making funny faces and voices. I love
to get a laugh.”
In the meantime, he’s enjoying being part of
the resurgence of the impersonation industry.
He credits icons like RuPaul who he says has
made the art of impersonation a huge part of
today’s culture.
Derrick Barry is busier than ever, too. In addition to his “Divas Las Vegas” show, he headlines “Boys n Barry Sundaes” in Las Vegas
every Sunday night at Krave nightclub. This
summer, he is embarking on his second USA
tour – a Britney Spears and Lady Gaga tribute
– that will hit twenty cities including Wilmington.
Female impersonation has opened doors for
the young actor/singer/dancer. It has brought
him in front of leading directors, producers and
entertainers. Derrick Barry believes the exposure will eventually lead him to his ultimate
goal in comedy.
For now, he truly has the best of both
worlds. Doesn’t everyone dream of being a
pop icon?

Well, here we are again, back in
print and bursting with pride. I hope we all
have a great time at pride this year. And
being the month which has pride in it, I
want to urge all of you to help support the
groups and people who put on this great
party for us all. First off you have the Parade, this year the parade will be held on 2nd
street on Sunday June 13th, with step off
taking place on 2nd and Greenfield Avenue
at 2:00pm and ending just north of 2nd and
Oregon Avenue. For more information on
the Pride Parade, contact them through their
website at www.prideparademke.com. We
also have PrideFest which is held at Henry
Maier Festival Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront,
during June 11th through the 13th. For more
information on PrideFest contact them
through
their
website
at
www.pridefest.com. Well, now that I have
gotten all that out of the way, let’s get to
talking about what you really read this column for . . . piercings and tattoos!
This month I figured the best thing I could
do is talk about one of the more popular
piercings, the Tongue piercing. The roots of
tongue piercing are not really the clear it is
a relatively new permanent piercing. I say
permanent because there are some tribes
and cultures in India who have pierced for
hundreds of years I am sure, but they only
pierce it during ceremonies, they do not
place jewelry in and allow it to heal. From
what I have been able to find out most of
the time the skewer they use to pierce the
tongue is usually in for no longer than thirty
minutes. The tongue piercing started to
gain popularity during the 70’s in Britain
with the punk movement. The punks then
brought the tongue piercing the America
when the movement began to die in Europe
and flourish here in the USA.
The tongue piercing is usually done in
the center of the tongue, although this
piercing can be done in the sides of the
tongue as well, but keep in mind that just
because this is a very common piercing it is
actually one of the most technically difficult
piercing for a piercer to perform. There are
many large blood vessels that if struck can
wreak havoc on the body and cause major
bleeding which would need a doctor to fix!
The tongue is relatively painless and heals
extremely quick, usually in about 3-6 weeks.
Now let’s get to the part you all want to
know, what you can use your tongue piercing for! The tongue piercing can be a very
sensual thing, well unless you get it stuck
on your partner’s jewelry. (Not that I have
ever had that happen to me.) It can be
highly erotic just to see and even more to
feel. For obvious reasons the tongue piercing is best put to use during oral sex, although some people have reservations
about oral sex when jewelry is involved.
Some people say that the steel doesn’t feel
comfortable against their skin; well we have
a solution to that gripe. Jewelry companies
have made products called French ticklers for
a long time. What they are is little pieces of
silicon molded into interesting shapes like
spiky balls, atoms, and ribbed domes. These
ticklers take the hard cold edge off the barbell and replace it with a soft squishy feeling. So from now on you have no reason to
refuse head from someone with a tongue
piercing. (Of course I don’t think any of my
readers would refuse head from a fat blind
man with leprosy, so I guess that last line
doesn’t mean much.) Well that’s about it
when it comes to tongue piercing so let’s
get on to something else.
Well I think I’ve got enough room for
some reader mail so let’s see what we have.
Dear Brent,
Here is my question. . . How do you do
piercings? I don’t mean the actual act of it,
but more so how did you get into the job and
how can you force yourself to hurt people for
a living. --Abe
Well Abe, you ask a very hard question
to answer, so let’s start with your first
question. I got exposed to body piercing
when I was very young through national
geographic magazines and tribal themed
television shows. I was hooked at that
point and learned everything I could about
tribal cultures. I didn’t know it back then
but I know now that I needed piercing and
tattooing in my life from the first moment I
saw it. From there, once I turned 18 I
walked into Avant-Garde and got my
tongue pierced, at the time I said it would
be the only piercing I would ever get. (God
was I wrong) From there I starting hanging
out at the shop, eventually I started working at the shop for free just so that I could
have an excuse to be there and learn something new. Then one day the owner Jim
asked me if I wanted to work at the shop
and actually get paid to do it, of course I
jumped at the chance and now that chance
has led me into a partial ownership of
Avant-Garde. As for your second question
all I can really say is that you have to have
a certain mentality to do this job. It’s not
really about hurting people, but you do
have to have the will to be comfortable
around pain. That’s about all I can say,
thanks for the letter Abe.
I think I have now run out of room for this
month, So Don’t forget about the Pride Parade
or Pridefest, visit their websites for more information
www.prideparademke.org
and
www.pridefest.com. Please also don’t forget
you can reach me anytime by e-mail at [email protected]. Just put Skin & Steel in
the subject line, and remember you can e-mail
me about anything (except Brazilian far fetish
porn). Sorry about that I got caught in a south
park YouTube loop today J. Thanks and have a
great month of June and have a fun and safe
Pride Weekend.

G e t t i n g L e v i ’ s J o h n s o n , Jet Set Men
It was just a matter of time before someone
decided to spoof Levi Johnston’s now infamous
– not to mention disappointing — P l a y g i r l
photo spread. With tongue firmly in cheek, Jet
Set Men’s Chris Steele unleashes G e t t i n g
L e v i ’ s J o h n s o n which stars Levi look-alike
Casey Monroe plus the stunning Lisa Ann, who
starred in Hustler’s W h o ’ s N a i l i n’ Pa y l i n ?
Levi (Monroe) has a tough decision to make:
Is he or is he not going to get nekkid for his
photo shoot for Play Dude magazine. While in
Iowa peddling her book, Levi’s famous, almost
mother-in-law tosses in her two cents: “If you
take off that jockstrap and you show the whole
world your (giggles) winkie (smirk), you’ve got
my full support!”
And yet Levi still isn’t convinced. Perhaps
Levi’s backstage security guard, Mark Dalton,
can offer some advice. As luck would have it,
Mark himself is a former Play Dude cover model,
circa 2006. When Levi doesn’t remember Mark’s
layout, Mark is happy to show off the goods: he
strips, flexes, strokes and puts on quite a show
for an admiring Levi. Turns out Dalton must
have been able to work out in prison.
Meanwhile, at the offices of Vanity Flair magazine, Dallas Reeves is preparing for a different
sort of photo shoot with Levi. First, however, he
has to fend off a crank call from Paylin requesting naughty pictures of Levi. After Dallas puts
hardworking underwear model Brent Corrigan
through a grueling audition, it is time to discipline his twittering assistant Luke Marcum. In a
flash Luke is on his knees before his boss, sucking cock like his job depended on it. All Dallas
can do is moan appreciatively as Luke detours
past the ‘taint and makes a happy meal of Dallas’ winking pucker. No case of sexual harassment here: Luke eagerly takes a rough ride on
Dallas’ thrusting manmeat. Then for good
measure, Luke turns the tables on Dallas and
shows him just who the boss is.
Thanks to a clever montage sequence, Levi’s
Vanity Flair shoot is quickly dispensed. A worn
out Levi is left hanging out on the office building balcony with Brent Corrigan. Just two guys
having a casual smoke. Evidently Brent passed
his audition. The fun and games really begin
when Levi whips out his long, ropey dick and
Brent wastes no time getting little Levi up to full
attention. When Levi takes over, he lays Brent
out like a Thanksgiving turkey ready to be
stuffed. Brent encourages Levi to slobber over
his primed piston, urging him to tongue his full
nutsack. It’s just a matter time before Brent is
bent over the balcony ledge, Levi burying his
sheathed battering ram deep into Brent. Levi is
relentless, pounding Brent until he eventually
pops his nut.
Serra Paylin might slam Levi’s porn career on
national television but privately she advises him
to follow her motto, “Take the money and run.”
Later, she recalls an episode from Levi’s high
school days setting up a flashback sequence featuring the totally fuckable Landon Mycles and
Tommy G. Not sure how this relates to Levi,
since Levi ain’t even in the scene.
Landon and Tommy are just two hot high
school boys hanging out in the locker room.
Landon admires Tommy’s physique.
What could be more normal? As it
happens, the feeling is mutual. One
thing leads to another and before
they know it, they’re comparing
cocksucking techniques, a contest
which Landon wins hands down.
When Tommy finally shows some
attention to Landon’s quivering
prong, he clearly has an ulterior motive: he’s got a couple fingers priming
Landon’s sphincter. Tommy works
up quite a sweat, splitting apart Landon’s muscular butt cheeks and nailing him good and
proper until the cute hockey bitch fires off a real
gusher.
Taking Serra Paylin’s advice, Levi strips down
to his hockey strap for Play Dude photographer
Jesse Santana. Once the shoot’s finished, Levi
can’t wait to show off what a great ass he has.
Jesse puts his own butt up for comparison and
pretty soon this is a contest everyone wins, especially the massive Diesel Washington who is
content, for a while, to watch as Jesse engulfs
Levi’s uncut meat. Later Levi and Jesse double
team Diesel’s rock hard man-drill, leading to
some good old fashion tag team fucking. There’s
really no position these three don’t manage to
get up to. Levi might wish he’d win “bottom of
the year” but the way he sledgehammers Jesse’s
perfect ass is something fierce. The bland circlejerk finale is a surprisingly limp conclusion to an
otherwise solid scene.
Chris Steele has great fun lampooning Levi
and the former Vice Presidential candidate.
Casey Monroe brings a nice “ah-shucks”
charm to this rather less inhibited Levi and
there’s an absolutely hilarious comic turn
from Palin-doppelganger Lisa Ann. Add for
good measure five solid sex scenes offering the
likes Mark Dalton, Brent Corrigan and Diesel
Washington and G e t t i n g L e v i ’ s J o h n s o n
really couldn’t miss.

U n l o a d e d , Raging Stallion
Junkyard sex is the order of the day in Andrew
Rosen’s recent Raging Stallion feature, U n l o a d e d . When Ryan Patrick takes a break, he
soon has his dick out and a handy toilet plunger
buried deep up his rectum. Sometimes you just
gotta do what you gotta do. He’s interrupted
by his dark, furry colleague Antonio Biaggi who
offers his own uncut plunger for the job. Austin
Wilde discovers his pants torn at the crotch
after he and the gun totin’ Cameron Adams
carry in a suspicious looking body bag. The next
scene finds Cameron catching Dominic Pacifico
spit polishing Brandon Lewis’ stiffing prick and
he decides to join in. The final scene offers a
novel set-up: Christian Wilde unzips the body
bag, out pops totally naked Ethan Storm, a lad
in need of warming up. This 2-disc set offers an
embarrassment of extra riches including a blistering bonus scene featuring Rafael Alencar and
François Sagat plus a half a dozen solos.
