Hettich Highlights
Moving forward
At Hettich there is always so much going on
and in spite of the Credit Crunch in 2009 we
were very busy.
Our commitment to the business is stronger than ever.
We continue to invest and look to improve our service.
We work with superb manufacturers and suppliers. Our
catalogue is literally just a tiny snapshot of what we can
offer. We are very proud to represent the finest watch
brands and with names like Rolex, Patek Philippe,
Cartier, Omega, Breitling, Tag Heuer and Chopard in
our collection, we’re not going to disappoint!
In March we launched the Royal Asscher brilliant
diamond collection, diamonds that are beautifully
cut and utterly irresistible (see page 26).
In June we moved to Longueville Manor Hotel (see
page 16) for our party ‘Oysters and Pearls’ with the
2009 Rolex collection from Basle and wonderful
pearls from Schoeffel.
JEFFREY CHINN WITH THE ROLEX GMT MASTER II ICE WATCH
And from that we were very proud to offer the last
available Rolex GMT Master II Ice Watch at a very
cool £292,160.00!
As the Summer season moved on, we couldn’t
resist Miss Battle of Flowers, Lucy O’Sullivan, who
was pretty as a picture framed in our doorway.
As you can see, we’re crazy about diamonds! Our
collection ranges from the very affordable and
fashionable to the fine and important. We like to keep
it simple, we stock diamonds of all shapes and sizes,
colours and purities and they all have one thing in
common - they all look fantastic. You’ve heard of the
4 Cs, well the fifth C is for confidence, and you can
rely on us to supply you with great diamonds.
The diamond business isn’t just about beautiful things,
it’s also now about supporting worthy causes, and
we are delighted to be involved in the Stars of Africa
Project with Royal Asscher (see page 26).
MISS BATTLE OF FLOWERS, LUCY O’SULLIVAN

of the piece of jewellery in our factory.
From our enthusiasm for well proportioned and perfectly fabricated
jewellery, unique pieces and exclusive small series are developing.
Classical modern pieces of jewellery where time does not leave its mark.
Solid, perfect craftsmanship. Timeless, elegant design uniting the
most precious material. You recognize the style of Hans D. Krieger
in the fabrication of the most precious diamonds in natural colour.
The jewellery made by Hans D. Krieger awakens the yearning of people

Celestial in Platinum and Rose Gold
T
he Patek Philippe Celestial, returns to the principal
of the Celestial chart found in the Sky Moon
Tourbillon, but gives the heavenly bodies pride of
place, on the dial side of the watch. At any time, the
exact configuration of the nocturnal sky in the northern
hemisphere, with the apparent movements of the
stars and the phases and the orbit of the moon can
be admired. Two white-lacquered hands point to the
hours and minutes in standard time. A golden ellipse
on the underside of the sapphire glass frames the
portion of the sky visible from Geneva and all other
cities located in the same latitude.
Three superimposed sapphire-crystal discs form the dial
of the Celestial: one each for the sky, the stars and the
moon.
This exclusive watch case is in rose gold with platinum
bezel, back with sapphire crystal and crowns. Watches
with astronomical indications remain among the rarest
and most poetic type of complications.

10 Day ‘Tourbillon’ in Rose Gold
T
he striking rectangular form in the art deco style
is reminiscent of the peerless classics of the
1920s and 1930s. With its sleek three tiered flanks,
it expresses the epitome of elegance. The warm hue
of 18K rose gold now transposes the fascination of
this remarkable design movement straight to the 21st
century. Despite its considerable length of more than
five centimetres, the anatomically curved case gently
hugs the wrist. This curvature is also followed by the
convex sapphire crystal, which is ground parallel inside
and outside to eliminate any magnifying glass effect or
optical distortion. The crystal protects the matt sheen
in dark silvery grey of the 18K gold dial, the two bright
silvery guilloched subsidiary dials for the seconds at
6 o’clock and the 10 day power reserve indicator
at 12 o’clock, as well as the serial number of the
movement and the inscriptions “Patek Philippe” and
“Tourbillon”. The hours and minutes are indicated with
leaf shaped hands and applied Breguet numerals in
18K rose gold. The screwed sapphire crystal case back
reveals the meticulously decorated plate and bridges,
the intricate tourbillon, and the jewels held in gold
chatons. The new rose gold case is worn on a hand
stitched, large scaled alligator strap with a matching
rose gold buckle.
The new 5101R is truly an object of immense beauty
incorporated with years of expertise of fine watch
making functionality. A timepiece to remember.

Oyster Perpetual Datejust Rolesor 36 MM
Ref. 116244/72600

OYSTER PERPETUAL DATEJUST ROLESOR 36 MM
Created sixty years ago, the Oyster Perpetual
Datejust Rolesor is the world’s most recognised
and recognisable watch, if not the standard-bearer
of an art de vivre. Impervious to the vagaries of
fashion, it remains eternally modern. And the new
Datejust II Rolesor for men and the Datejust Rolesor
36 mm for ladies, with gem-set bezel, are the
proof.
Subtly redesigned over time, the Oyster Perpetual
Datejust Rolesor, archetype of timeless luxury,
embraces all the latest watchmaking innovations
to meet the most demanding technological
requirements.
The history of this must-have masterpiece of
contemporary watchmaking is rooted in the
rich heritage of Rolex timepieces. It is the fruit
of the Oyster, the first waterproof and dustproof
wristwatch entirely designed and manufactured
by Rolex in 1926. The movement of the watch
receives its energy from the Perpetual rotor, the first
self-winding mechanism with a free rotor, created
in 1931. The Datejust made its debut in 1945, its
name inspired by the date displayed in a window
on the watch dial.
The Oyster Perpetual Datejust Rolesor is the
hallmark of the Rolex brand. Precise, waterproof,
self-winding, this officially-certified Swiss
chronometer with date display is crafted with only
the noblest of materials and assembled with the
greatest of care.

The case
The 36 mm case combines optimal comfort and
elegant refinement. Waterproof to a depth of 100
metres (330 feet), it now, for the first time, features a
bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds.
The dial
The dials combine a spirit of classic refinement and
creative reverie.
The bracelet
The Datejust is available on an Oyster bracelet fitted
with an Oysterclasp and Easylink extension link, or
a Jubilee bracelet with a Crownclasp. Both features
ensure optimal wearer comfort and the perfect
finishing touch.
The movement
The Datejust is equipped with a movement
entirely designed and manufactured by Rolex.
It is chronometer-certified by the Swiss Official
Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) and has a
power reserve of 48 hours.
The new Oyster Perpetual Datejust Rolesor, in this resolutely feminine version, continues the tradition. Timeless
companion of women who are both sure of themselves and their aesthetic preferences, it is entirely adaptable
to every attitude, occasion and lifestyle.
