We are fortunate to have a highly qualified team of physicians, scientists and
industry experts who collaborate with other researchers around the world. They use
clinical studies and third-party validation to create formulas that work effectively
in the human body and produce results. In fact, they have had more than 20
studies presented at scientific meetings or published in peer-reviewed journals.

Robert A. Sinnott, MNS, PhD
CEO and Chief Science Officer

As CEO and Chief Science Officer at Mannatech, Dr. Sinnott oversees the development of
Mannatech’s innovative product line. Spearheading numerous research initiatives assessing
the safety and efficacy of Mannatech’s products, he collaborates with researchers worldwide.
Dr. Sinnott has held scientific positions in both industry and government over the past 15
years. He is a three-time alumnus from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, where
he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences in 1987, a Master of Natural Sciences
Degree in 1989 and a PhD in 1995. During his graduate training, Dr. Sinnott’s primary focus
was plant medicinal chemistry and plant biotechnology. In addition to business endeavors,
Dr. Sinnott was instrumental in establishing the science branch of a nonprofit educational
institution for training economically disadvantaged students in science-based careers.
The programme was quickly granted numerous awards by the Arizona Department of
Education and the U.S. Department of Agriculture and continues to expand its influence.

Tait Switzer
Vice President, Research and Development/
Technical Services
Spanning more than 17 years, Mr. Switzer’s product
development career includes technical and management
experience in developing a variety of products such as
supplements, foods, prescription and OTC drugs, confections and skin care for a global
market. After graduating from East Texas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology,
he began his career in product development with a pharmaceutical company. He held
various positions of increasing responsibility in the pharmaceutical industry, culminating in
the Head of Product Development and Validations.
In 2002, Mr. Switzer began working for Mannatech as a project manager in the Product
Development and Regulatory Affairs Department. He now serves as Mannatech’s Vice
President of Research and Development/Technical Services and is responsible for Product
Development, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Product Science and Substantiation,
Clinical Studies and Adverse Event Reporting.
Steve Nugent, PsyD, NMD, PDD, MA, CNC
Senior Wellness Director
Dr. Nugent began his career in complementary healthcare in
1977. He has since earned multiple degrees, graduating with
top honours at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In
1989, he enrolled in a Professional Development Degree (PDD)
program at the University of Michigan, Dearborn, and graduated with top honours. Steve’s
PDD in Behavioral Science included studies in neuropsychology, biological anthropology
and nutrition science. His most recent degree programme is a doctor of psychology (PsyD)
in health and wellness psychology that included studies in areas of clinical psychology,
organisational psychology, leadership psychology and integrative medicine. He also
completed this doctorate degree with honours. With more than two decades of clinical
practice, he brings a wealth of experience in the application of dietary supplements and
continues to share his knowledge for the benefit of others. He has served as President of
the International Association of Complementary Medicine and is President Emeritus of the
American Naturopathic Medical Association.
