A First Look at Performance on the
GRE® revised General Test
The data used in this new report were
based on test takers who took the GRE
revised General Test between August 1,
2011, and June 30, 2012
• Sample of 466,674
• 11 months of data
• Includes only those who had valid scores on all
three measures
• Based on unique test takers, meaning data
analysis includes test taker’s most recent
scores only, even if they took the test more
than once during that period
• Test-taking patterns may have shifted due to
August 2011 launch and slow registration in
early 2012
