DRIVING DIRECTIONS
For GPS, please use 1885 Main Street, Becket, MA 01223. See the map on the following
page if necessary.
From the NY / NJ Area
1. Take 684 North to 84 East (approx. 30 miles)
2. Take 84 East for approximately 35 miles to Waterbury, CT
3. Take exit 20 on the left to merge onto CT-8 North toward Torrington
4. Take Route 8 to the end of the expressway at Winsted.
5. Turn Right onto Route 8/44 for ½ mile to traffic light.
6. Turn Right onto Route 8 North traveling beyond Otis to Intersection with Route 20 East
7. Bear Right, east on Route 20 for 5 miles to intersection with Route 8 North (Bonnie
Riggs Corner)
8. Turn left onto Route 8 North
9. Camp Watitoh is 3 ½ miles on your left
From the Taconic State Parkway
1. Take Taconic State Parkway to the last exit for Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90)
East.
2. Follow directions below starting at #2.
From NY Thruway
1. Take exit 21A for the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90) East
2. Take exit 2 for Lee, MA, US-20 East
3. Turn left onto US-20 East and take for approximately 12 miles until the intersection with
Route 8 North (Bonnie Riggs Corner) – See optional short cut below.
4. Turn left onto Route 8 North
5. Camp Watitoh is 3 ½ miles on your left
Short Cut from Lee over the “Mountain Road”
1. Take exit 21A for the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90) East
2. Take exit 2 for Lee, MA, US-20 East
3. Turn left onto US-20 East and take for approximately 4 miles
4. Turn onto Becket Road (which becomes Tyrne Road)
5. After approximately 2 miles, turn slight left onto Yokum Pond Road, which merges with
County Road
6. At stop sign turn right onto McNerney Road
7. Make a quick right onto Route 8 South
8. Camp Watitoh will be on your right in a little over a mile
