Cushion Fill
Kannoa cushions are constructed with High Resiliency foam and dacron batting for the perfect balance of
comfort and durability. Our standards are of the highest quality.
Outdoor Foam
Our high resiliency foam is ideal for outdoor use in various climates, providing a cozy feel with a
contemporary look. With the proper maintenance and care our cushions are made for durability.
This foam meets CA Technical Bulletin 117 and NFPA260.
Water Flow
Our fills are made with high density foam inserts wrapped in Dacron which allows quick water flow
and drain through the cushions. This makes it perfect for any outdoor weather, even places of high
humidity. This foam meets CA Technical Bulletin 117 and NFPA260.
Fire Resist
We use fire resistant polyurethane foam to achieve the highest safety and quality standards. Our
cushions are manufactured to constrain combustion and at the same time deliver good comfort.
This foam meets CA Technical Bulletin 117 and NFPA260.
1. FOAM: 36/18 high density (18, 1.8 lbs/cuft) is a medium firmness used on seat cushions.
2. All cushions are wrapped wih Dacron (bonded polyester) wrap for optimum comfort. Dacron is also water
resistant and helps protect the foam core.
3. Foam and Dacron are sealed with a protective cambric or water proof lining.
We also offer reticulated foam for quick dry use for outdoor cushions.
1. Reticulated foam #30 high density with a medium firmness.
2. Reticulated foam #50 high density with a high firmness.
The open cell structure allows water to pass through easily. This drainable property is perfect for areas in which
cushions may get wet. Simply tip the cushion on en and watch the water run out. leave them in the sun for a
few minutes and they’re ready to sit on.
Add Dacron wrap to make your cushions plush and full.

Principal Design Features
This is generally considered to be an extrusion alloy that is heat treatable for strengthening.
Applications
Commonly used in the manufacture of furniture, windows, stair rails, and in pipe railing. Commonly used in
architectural extrusions.
Machinability
Machinability is considered to be average for this alloy.
Forming
Forming ability, either hot or cold, is good.
Welding
The alloy is readily welded by all of the conventional methods. Filler rod should be of the same alloy or AL 4043
alloy.

Heat Treatment
Solution heat treat at 970 F for 1 hour followed by water quench. This produces T 4 temper. Other tempers are
accomplished by aging.
Forging
Hot forging may be done in the range of 500 F to 950 F.
Hot Working
Hot working, as with forging, may be done at temperatures above 500 F up to maximum of 950 F.
Cold Working
Cold working characteristics are good for all conventional forming methods.
Annealing
Anneal at 775 F for 3 hours and use controlled cooling at rate of 50 F per hour down to 500 F. Then air cool.
Aging
Aging is done at a temperature of 350 F for 8 hours for T 6 and T 62 tempers. Age at 360 F for 3 hours to get
T5 temper.
Tempering
Not applicable.
Hardening
Hardens due to aging heat treatment and cold working. See "Aging".
Other Physical Props
Electrical conductivity 50% of copper.
Other Mechanical Props
Shear strength for various tempers is: O temper 10, ksi . T 5 temper 17 ksi. T 83 temper 22 ksi
