For over 70 years we are specialists in the processing of optical glass, our goal being the
accomplishment of high quality opto-mechanical apparatus destined to you.
IOR was established in 1936 and it has been the sole Romanian company with a famous
tradition in designing and performing opto-mechanical apparatus.
In 1941 IOR was militarized and, therefore, it preeminently produced products for the
army (binoculars, telescopes, telemeters, etc.). After 1949, the first eyeglasses lenses were
produced, then, in 1951 the first didactic microscopes and, in 1954 the first photo apparatus.
After 1959, more attention was given to the medical area and so, appeared the first products for
ophtalmology. Also, in that period started the production
of cinematographic projection apparatus. In 1960, IOR
produced the first binocular laboratory microscopes,
in 1961 the first dental units, in 1962 the first research
microscopes and in 1967 we began to produce photo
objectives. After 1980s there have appeared new ranges,
as opto-electronics, lasers, metrology, thermovision with
various applications.
In our sustained efforts to offer the best quality
products to the internal and external markets, IOR has
made major structural changes during the last years, by
renewing the technological line with processing centres
and numerical order lathes, as well as checking-apparatus.
Started with 1992, in IOR, there has been implemented
a quality system that complies with the SR EN ISO 9001
standard.

Dear Valued Customer,
I
t is with tremendous pride and satisfaction that we bring to you
IOR 2011 full line optical products catalogue.
New products, great prices and first-rate customer support - these are
the hallmarks of the IOR’s products.
Engineered by professionals for professionals, and proven under
tough operational conditions, they stand out for their superior materials
and excellent, carefully considered workmanship. The special glass types
receive a top-quality coating to guarantee excellent light transmission.
2007 takes us to the next generation of premium optical quality and
design.
2008 simply put our new Mx6 and Mx7 (magnification factor 6 and 7)
products groups between the best scopes you will ever look through, with
the highest contrast and best resolution edge to edge on the market today!
2009 lineup - the most unique is a 36x42 benchrest scope with 1/8
mOA clicks, 30mm tube a new mP-8 style mOA reticle which has wormdrive side focus with no stop to it. Next in line is the 2-12x36 Tactical with a
BDC style exposed knob and a mP-8 or CQB style of reticle and 35mm tube.
Finally, an all new 1/4x32 with 35mm tube was on the table.
2010 - IOR introduced a trio of new scopes 6-24x56 illuminated FFP
mil/mil, 3.5-18x50 illuminated FFP mil/mil and SFP moa/moa with digital
illumination and new knobs with a zero reference system.
2011 - IOR introduced scopes with 10 x magnification factors and two
illuminating reticles for hunting and tactical scope and the big” surprise the
debut of the 12-52x56 “Terminator” ultra long range scope.
we didn’t stop there though. At IOR, we are constantly searching for
new products and innovations that provide a true benefit to the shooter.
we do not know how successful your moments of truth will be, but we
do promise that the IOR’s optics will not fail you.
Thank you for support and for inspiring us to continue our tradition of
excellence.
IOR S.A.

The1-10x26 has a true 1x . Eye relief is forgiving and the overall design is quite
impressive.
This scope is FFP, with a mP-8 style reticle with a dot. The digital illumination allows
you to light the center dot “daylight bright” orange, the rest of the reticle green, or
both. The 35mm tube allows for 30mils of travel so the 10x with side focus is actually
useful for long range work. Exposed 1/10mil knobs with zero stop.
The 1.25-10x26 models are FFP or SFP . This scope differed from it’s cousin in that it
had no side focus, capped, low profile knobs with no zero reset and zero tunnel vision
from 1.25x. The glass and sight picture were very clean. Same digital illumination
with 30mils of travel.
These scopes promise to be an exciting addition to the IOR scope line.

The innovative
6x zoom hunting
10
Since 1936 IOR has continuously been setting milestones in optical
performance. IOR pioneered the design of rifle scopes, repeatedly setting
new standards for functionality, durability and overall performance and
longevity.
Delivering the goods on a consistent basis is what shooters want. They
want scopes to hold zero, adjust in a particular increment and actually
have enough resolution to discern targets at greater distances. IOR has
the goal of delivering this performance to the shooter.
IOR does not take old hunting scopes, put new tactical knobs on them
and call them new tactical scopes.
IOR builds new tactical scopes from the ground up, with new internal
mechanisms, new optic systems and new housing. We build our tactical
scopes at the highest quality standards in the world.
Innovation is about the idea and the practicality, the benefit. Many IOR
scopes have targeting series with 30 mm, 35 mm and now with 40 mm.
IOR has increased the lens size, light transmission and resolution because
that was the demand of the shooter.
Our targeting series scopes are legendary for accuracy among competitive
shooting circles.
- Sx-30 Series
The SX-30 Series are designed for optimal performance and ease of use;
- Sx-35 Series
The Sx-35 Series will take your shooting performance to a new level;
- Sx-40 Series
This new series provides accuracy, if you’re serious about long range
target shooting this series will meet your needs at an exceptionally
attractive price (4-14x50);
11
- Mx-6 Series
In 2004 we started to manufacture the first
targeting scopes with 6x magnification factor;
at the moment, we are offering 3 types: 1,85x26; 2-12x32 and 3-18x42 - all of them being
provided with illuminated reticle and lateral
parallax adjustment;
- Mx-7 Series
In 2007 we made the first targeting scopes
with 7x magnification factor (4-28x56) and 40
mm tube.
Shooters care about accuracy, and accuracy
is obtained with the right equipment. Today’s
shooters can tell the difference between a 1/4
inch, 1/2 inch or 1 cm/100 m of adjustment.
They have found out that most scopes do
not supply the level of precision they need,
therefore they are using our products.

The reticle is the scope’s internal aiming
device.
In the IOR scopes it is supplemented by
an additional illumination unit, adjustable
to different levels of intensity. Illuminated
reticles facilitate quick target acquisition
when drive hunting or targeting in poor
light conditions.
The IOR reticles offer the right solution for
every shooting situation.
The reticles are located in the 1-st image
plane or in the 2-nd image plane.
All IOR riflescope reticles feature accurate
windage and elevation adjustment.
