Your lounger awaits on the
world’s most famous beach.
Things to do in
Daytona Beach
Daytona Beach is known as “The World’s Most Famous Beach”
for good reason. It has enticed famous explorers like Ponce de
Leon as well as those looking to test the limits of speed.
Here’s a selection of the area’s local treasures that you may
wish to discover on your holiday.
Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory: Since 1925, Angell &
Phelps has been synonymous with decadent hand-made
chocolate. Be sure to take a free factory tour!
Aunt Catfish on the River: No pretenses at this southern
seafood joint on the river, where all the servers are “cousins”
and treat you like family!
Daytona Beach Pier & Boardwalk: Food, ferris wheels and
fireworks – nothing compares to the nostalgia of exploring the
Boardwalk!
Marine Science Center: Wildlife rehabilitation is the main focus
of the Center’s work, but the huge reef aquarium and sting ray
pool are star attractions.
Museum of Arts & Sciences: Daytona’s largest museum
boasts a huge collection of rail cars, Americana and Coca Cola
memorabilia. It now features a state-of-the-art planetarium!
Ponce Inlet Lighthouse & Museum: Built in 1886, more than
140,000 people visit this iconic Florida lighthouse each year!
While many of Daytona Beach’s annual visitors flock to the
beach to relax under the rays, there’s more to the area than
just sand and sun. Daytona Beach’s museums and art galleries
offer travellers an opportunity to step back in time. Attractions
including Ponce Inlet, the Sugar Mill Botanical Gardens, Old
Stone Wharf, The Basements and the Museum of Arts &
Sciences pay tribute to the region’s plantation and racing roots.
A visit to Daytona Beach isn’t complete without a trip to the
Daytona International Speedway for one of the track’s many
events held throughout the year. Visitors looking “fore” a change
of pace will enjoy a round of golf on one of the area’s fabulous
fairways, many designed by the sport’s biggest legends.
We reward Loyalty! Earn denuros on this trip and

Gorgeous gulf sunsets and
sun-soaked sandy beaches.
Things to do in St. Pete Beach
When The New York Times named St. Petersburg one of the
best places in the world to visit in 2014, it confirmed what
DeNureTours’ travellers have long known – this area’s beaches,
dining and sunny climate are a winning combination for sun
seekers and snowbirds alike.
Suncoast Beach Trolley: Explore the neighbourhoods of
St. Pete Beach with ease aboard the Suncoast Beach Trolley!
Check out the shops on Corey Avenue, or enjoy the sights at
John’s Pass Village.
St. Pete Beach is known around the world for its pristine
beaches. At nearby Fort DeSoto Park you can fish from two free
piers 24 hours a day, splash in calm waters and even rent bikes
and kayaks. Perhaps you’d rather shop along historic Corey
Avenue or sample waterfront dining at any of the city’s superb
restaurants. These are just a few of the things you can do while
staying in St. Pete Beach.
When you’ve had your fill of sand and sun, take a day trip to
nearby Tampa for a hockey game, Dunedin for a baseball game
or St. Petersburg and enjoy some of their world class museums.
We reward Loyalty! Earn denuros on this trip and
redeem them next time you travel with us. See page 3 for
complete information on our Denuros Travel Rewards program.
Here’s a selection of the area’s local treasures that you may
wish to discover on your holiday.
Tampa Bay Lightning: Catch the action at the Tampa Bay
Times Forum. Experience a fun evening out with your fellow
guests – for a lot less than watching a game in Canada!
John’s Pass: This turn-of-the-century fishing village offers great
dining, superb shopping, dolphin watching and of course,
fabulous fishing.
Ellenton Premium Outlets: The only thing more impressive
than Ellenton’s collection of 130 different stores is the savings –
up to 65% off regular retail!
Tarpon Springs: The name was inspired by the tarpon that early
residents spotted jumping from the Gulf; however this Greek
infused town also has a fascinating sea sponge industry!
Ybor City: Tampa’s Latin Quarter, Ybor City, is a National
Historic Landmark District known for its authentic Spanish and
Cuban cuisine and old world charm.

Things to do in Destin
Destin is truly the jewel of Florida’s Emerald Coast. It may be

The beaches here are known throughout the world for their
beauty. Accolades by TripAdvisor, Good Morning America,
USAToday.com, Southern Living Magazine and Florida Beaches
Guide are a testament to the natural beauty of the sugar-white

cool even in the heat of the day!
Savvy snowbirds know that there is more to Destin than soaking
up the sun. Here, jubilant festivals and the freshest seafood
you can find along the coast provide endless dining and
entertainment options. Tee up at one of the lush golf courses,

Panama Canal
Panama Canal
Tour Highlights
While there are many canals throughout the world, the Panama Canal is not
simply a passage but it embodies the dream of a continent. Just as explorers
searched for centuries for the Northwest passage, many were also looking for
a new shipping route to replace the long and treacherous route around Cape
Horn, and connect the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean.
• Circle North America in one trip!
• East to west passage through the Panama Canal
• Tour of Vancouver, BC
• Travel VIA Rail’s iconic ‘The Canadian’ from
Vancouver to Ontario
During transit, a ship is raised or lowered 85 feet in
a continuous flight of three steps at Gatun Locks.
Each lock chamber is only 110 feet wide and
1,000 feet long – so sailing precision is paramount!
To assist, railway tracks run alongside the canal
and rail cars use cables that connect to the ship
on either side and keep it in place.
Accommodation
At the end of the first set of locks is Gatun Lake,
it supplies the water necessary to operate the locks. The water runs downhill
from this man-made lake to fill the locks. No pumps, no power, just the
force of gravity!

Exploring Bermuda
Tour Highlights
Bermuda’s public transportation system features passenger-friendly colourful
ferries and buses, ensuring travellers can easily explore all points of interest!
BUSES: The island’s buses are frequent, plentiful and service most areas
of interest. You can’t miss them – they are painted pink with blue stripes!
With 11 bus routes, the transportation system has the entire island covered.
Stops are marked by poles painted – like the buses – in pink and blue. If the
pole by the bus stop is PINK, the bus is travelling towards Hamilton. If the
pole is BLUE, the bus is travelling away from Hamilton. Route 7 is the most
popular route for visitors as it travels between King’s Wharf and Hamilton.
Along the way, the bus stops at some of the island’s most popular beaches.
FERRIES: Four public ferry routes offer a picturesque alternative for travel
around the island. These relaxed sea routes are unequalled, offering a
superb sea or harbour crossing in unrivalled scenery. The orange ferry route
runs directly from King’s Wharf to the historic town of St. George, docking
just a short walk from Kings Square.

From its humble beginnings of transporting ore through America’s Wild
West, to our present-day journeys in the heart of the canyon, the Grand
Canyon Railway has enchanted millions of people from around the world
since 1901.

But it’s not just about the trains. The Grand Canyon Railway is surrounded

Tour Highlights
Cullen is a traditional Scottish links course in the northeast of Scotland,
founded in 1870 as a 9-hole course laid out by old Tom Morris and later
upgraded to 18 holes by Charlie Neaves.

1 Culcrieff Golf Club

3 Nairn Dunbar Golf Club
4 Duff House Royal Golf Club
5 Cullen Golf Club
6 Alyth Golf Club
Cullen lays claim to the most remarkable site for a golf course in Europe.
There isn’t a lot of room within this amazing environment for Cullen’s
18 holes, with the course playing its outward nine close to the cliffs
and the inward nine playing back at beach level. A seaside links course
incorporating many blind shots, Cullen offers great views of the coastline
and over the Moray Firth. Watch for dolphins!
The unbridled thrill of the course lies in its par 3s. A quartet of short holes
from the 11th to the 14th is the highlight of the back nine and each features
the 80ft. Boar Crag. The 12th and 13th are the most exciting, playing
directly over this rusty red colossus, which completely blocks the greens
from view. You could easily play two rounds without entertaining thoughts
of the 19th on this immaculately kept course. When you do tire of this
uncomplicated and refreshing layout, head into the clubhouse for a bowl of
“Cullen Skink”. The creamy white chowder for which the region is famed is
as pleasantly surprising as the golf course.

A poignant journey of
remembrance.
2017 marks the 100th anniversary of one of our country’s
most significant military battles – the Battle of Vimy Ridge. Join
us on a poignant journey of remembrance to pay tribute at
the Canadian National Vimy Memorial and other notable war
museums and battlefields.
Begin your sightseeing tour in London, visiting the cosmopolitan
capital’s most famous landmarks with the help of a local
guide. Insightful narrative helps you learn more about Big Ben,
Leicester Square, the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey.
Visit historic St. Paul’s Cathedral, which, in one form or another,
has overlooked London since 604AD. You will also take part in
a walking tour to learn more about the Great War and its impact
on the people of London. In France, visit Musee Somme 1916.
The fascinating location – inside a 13th century underground
tunnel – sets the stage for an impressive World War I experience.
You’ll also see the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial,
a preserved battlefield and the largest battalion memorial of the
Western Front.

Overlooking the Canadian battlefield of 1917 – at one of
the points of the fiercest fighting – stands the Canadian
National Vimy Memorial. Designed by Canadian sculptor and
architect Walter Seymour Allward, it stands as a tribute to all
who served their country in battle and risked or gave their
lives during the four-year struggle. The names of the 11,285
Canadian soldiers who were posted “missing or presumed
dead” in France are inscribed on the ramparts. Use of the
land for all time was granted to Canadians by France, with
the Memorial unveiled by King Edward VIII on July 26, 1936.
Most of the wartime tunnels lacing the grounds are closed off
from the public, due to safety concerns, but a portion of the
Grange Subway has been preserved and can be experienced
with the assistance of Canadian interpretive guides.
Today, the Canadian National Vimy Memorial symbolizes
Canada’s commitment to world peace, liberty and the rule of
international law. A journey to Vimy Ridge is a memorable and
life-changing experience for all Canadians.

Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing
Tour Highlights
54,896 Commonwealth soldiers who died during World War I have no
known grave. The massive Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing is a tribute
to these men. Located at the point at which soldiers would have marched to
the front lines, the Memorial is a symbol of Ypres gratitude. Each evening at
8 o’clock, buglers from the local fire department close the road and sound
the Last Post, a tradition that dates back to 1928.
In Flanders Fields Museum
Located in the centre of Ypres, Belgium and named for John MCrae’s
poem, the ‘In Flanders Fields Museum’ is dedicated to the study of World
War I. In moving retellings of the invasion of Belgium, the trench war and
the end of The Great War, the museum is more than just military narration.
Historical artifacts, modern multimedia exhibits and contemporary artistic
interpretations come together to confront the personal side of war. Visitors
can climb the bell tower and gaze across the century-old battlefield or sit
and reflect quietly. Though the focus of the ‘In Flanders Fields Museum’ is
of the intense struggles society faced during World War I, it leaves one with
a touching message of hope and peace.

and architectural wonders.
For centuries, China remained a land of mystique. One of the
planet’s earliest civilizations, the country is home to endless
archeological treasures, jaw-dropping city skylines and a vast
landscape boasting snowcapped mountains, lush jungles,
arid deserts and historic waterways. With the assistance of an
English-speaking guide, you’ll see first hand how innovation and
tradition have shaped China’s history.
In the capital city of Beijing, tour Tiananmen Square, the world’s
largest public square (built to accommodate a million people)
and The Forbidden City, China’s best-preserved collection of
ancient buildings. At 250 acres, The Forbidden City is also the
largest palace complex in the world. At contrast, the modern
Olympic Games complexes are a fascinating photo stop.
Traditional crispy Peking duck is a delightful dinner treat.
Spend a day exploring the Great Wall. This immense 6,352

walls. Step back in time at Temple of Heaven Park, a peaceful

a lifetime. Aboard the ms Yangtze No. 2, the newest ship along
the river, admire the Three Gorges, the Stone Treasure Fortress

Terracotta Army
The Terracotta Army
Tour Highlights
Exploring China gives knowledge-seeking travellers the life changing
opportunity to marvel at modern advancements and be awestruck at ancient
wonders. The most significant archeological discovery of our time is the
Terracotta Army. It’s estimated that more than 8,000 terracotta sculptures,
depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, rest at
the site. Sculptures include warriors, chariots, and horses that were meant
to protect the emperor in the after-life.
The site is located in Lintong District, Xi’an, Shaanxi province. Local farmers
discovered the sculptures that were buried with the emperor over 2,000
years ago. The sculptures are life-size, each one with unique facial features,
hair and clothing. The sculptures also held real weapons such as swords
and longbows. The Qin Tomb Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum has
three vaults and one exhibition hall where these fascinating items can be
viewed in person.

Routes
Sightseeing Vacations
For North American sightseeing vacations, the routing and U.S.
border crossing depends on the first day’s destination. The
route for motorcoach tours is shown with each itinerary.
Route A
Winter Getaways
Our Coaches: Transportation is an important component
of our winter getaways. A standard coach accommodates 56
passengers; however, all of our deluxe motorcoaches have
been reconfigured to carry 43 guests, allowing everyone greater
comfort and legroom. Our coaches also offer complimentary
Wi-Fi, electrical outlets at each seat and individual, onboard
entertainment systems.
Why is it called express? Our coaches are equipped with
a comfortable bunk enabling two drivers to alternately drive
and sleep. This eliminates an overnight stay however, we do
stop for comfort breaks every 3-4 hours en route. Our drivers
are thoughtful and kind and will help guide the group through
border crossings and restaurants stops.
What is the schedule?
Southbound – Day 1: Morning departure
Southbound – Day 2: Arrive at destination in afternoon
Northbound – Day 1: Afternoon departure
Northbound – Day 2: Arrive at home in evening
What if I live outside of the routing area? You may
wish to take advantage of our Connections Program.
Please see page 2 for details.
Route A: Travels westbound on Highway 401 crossing the
border in Sarnia.
Florida
Route B
Florida Route: The map above shows the pickup points and
route for our Florida vacations in Daytona Beach, Destin and
St. Pete Beach. There are select departures where additional
pickups may be offered for Daytona Beach (ask for details).
Route B: Travels westbound around the Golden Horseshoe
crossing the border in Niagara.
South Carolina
Route C
Route C: Begins in Toronto and travels eastbound on
Highway 401 crossing the border in Gananoque. Lindsay and
Peterborough guests meet the coach in Port Hope.
42
South Carolina Route: The map above shows the pickup points
and route for our Myrtle Beach vacations. Our coach travels
eastward from Stoney Creek. Lindsay and Peterborough guests
meet the coach in Port Hope.

No surcharges regarding cost or currency fluctuations will be made
to the land only price once your deposit is received. However, airport
taxes, fuel surcharges and taxes, charges and levies imposed by a
government or agency may be passed on until your vacation is paid

Travel & Cancellation Insurance
Guests should not travel outside of the province without adequate
medical and cancellation insurance. DeNureTours has a preferred
supplier for medical and cancellation insurance. Travel Guard provides
a range of choices including a complete package, medical only,

insurance as an annual plan. The cost of medical insurance varies
depending on your age and medical condition as well as the value of
the vacation purchased. Insurance premiums are non-refundable.

On our North American vacations, the Cancellation Protection Plan
provides for reimbursement when you are unable to take your vacation
for any reason. Premiums are due with your deposit and are nonrefundable. This protection is not available on overseas vacations
or those that include a cruise. On North American vacations with a
flight component, the Plan is only applicable to the land portion of
your holiday. This Cancellation Protection Plan does not include trip
interruption insurance or medical insurance.
