Welcome to the Directory of Canadian
Exhitors at the IBS.
T
he Directory was developed as a tool to make it
easier for contractors, developers, builders,
architects and interior designers visiting the IBS to find
the high-quality building products they are seeking
from Canadian suppliers. The directory brings together
information on a vast array of products and services
that are being presented by Canadian companies,
associations, and government agencies in one concise
publication.
The Canadian building products industry has a welldeserved international reputation for the manufacture
of high-quality, energy efficient and cost-effective
building products. Built to exacting standards and
specifications. Canadian building products are designed
for diverse climatic zones as well as to meet local
building requirements.
Canada is a leading exporter of building products to
numerous international markets including the United
States, Japan, Europe, Southeast Asia and Latin
America. The Government of Canada, through the
Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade
and its Trade Commissioner Service, Industry Canada,
and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s
CMHC- International Division, works closely with
international buyers and Canadian manufacturers to
respond to enquiries and promote Canadian building
products manufacturers around the world.

- Trade Commissioner Service
The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service, the trade arm of the
Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT),
represents Canada abroad through a network of 270 embassies,
high commissions, consulates general, consulates, honorary
consulates and satellite offices in 180 countries. Canada has over
25 offices in the USA devoted to business goals. Their objectives are
to promote and ensure its interests relative to export/import trade,
investment, science & technology partnering and advocacy.
The work of the Canadian Consulates General in Miami and
Atlanta includes working with export ready companies that have
researched and selected their target markets, as well as firms,
whether small or large, who have demonstrated their commitment
to succeed in the competitive global marketplace. The Consulates
also advance academic and cultural ties between Canada and the
U.S., and assist Canadians living and visiting the southeast U.S.
The territories covered by the Consulate General in Miami includes
Florida, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, and those covered
by the Consulate General in Atlanta includes the six southeastern
states of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South
Carolina and Tennessee.
