Frame Features:
Our Chassis frame is Huck bolted using 5/8” Grade 8 Huck bolts. Huck bolts provide greater strength, require no re-torquing, and are permanent yet replaceable if needed.
• Stainless steel or painted steel channel bumper with ¼” thick heavy-duty steel sub-frame tied to drop truck frame, giving unequaled impact protection.
• Frame is painted with Zinc rich primer and gloss black Imron paint.

Cab Features:
Cabs are available in 56”, 62”, and 73” lengths with raised roof options in 10”, 15” and 20” heights.
• Sutphen provides a Stainless Steel front grille, and housings on all apparatus, not plastic.
• Full tilt cab is mounted on Lord isolators and steel
sub-frame for better ride and stronger cab.
• 4” Steel sub-frame mounted to the frame with greaseable bushings on pivot mounts.
• Fenders are polished stainless steel.

45 degree tilt angle on one-piece cab. The full tilt cab is mounted on a separate heavy duty pivoting sub-frame, reducing cab sub-frame stress.
• All Sutphen apparatus are equipped with Bostrom ABTS seats with SecureAll SCBA locking system and embroidered with the Sutphen logo, or your department emblem. Seats are covered in heavy duty Durawear cloth with rubber backing for durability.
• Inside cab door panels are covered entirely with brushed stainless steel for durability.
• A compartment is provided under the officer’s seat, and a full through storage compartment is provided under the forward facing crew seats providing additional space for fire gear or equipment.
• All Sutphen cabs and chassis have undergone testing by IMMI’s CAPE. Our cabs meet or exceed all requirements set forth by SAE J2420, J2422, and ECE R29.

Engine Features:
Available engine options include: Cummins ISC, ISL, ISX
in 330 HP – 600 HP depending on model, and MaxxForce 475 HP.

The modular extruded aluminum radiator allows for a Q siren to be recessed in the grille if desired.
• The radiator has a protective skidpan mounted to the bot
tom of the frame.
• A 65 gallon stainless steel fuel tank is standard.

Air Brake Features:
Brass fittings on color-coded tubing for brake system and covered with high temperature loom.
• Spring guards are provided on all air lines from the frame to the axle.

Electrical Features:
Batteries are mounted on dry deck flooring and housed in a totally enclosed compartment to protect them from weather and road dirt. The battery box is ¼” stainless steel with an aluminum cover. All battery connections have molded cable ends and heat shrink wrap.
• All wiring is color-coded XL high temperature crosslink. Function and number coded every 4”.
