Martin® Tornado air cannon
TECHNICAL DATA SHEET Martin® Tornado air cannon The MARTIN® TORNADO air cannon produces better material flow with greater power, faster cycling and improved safety. The air cannon fires when the MARTIN® TORNADO Exhaust Valve opens in response to a positive surge of air sent by a tripped solenoid valve. This positive-acting valve amplifies the discharge force, producing 20% more power than a conventional air cannon of the same size. 4” VALVE PERFORMANCE DATA Discharge time 2,8 Martin® Tornado exhaust valve 2,6 2,4 2,2 2,0 1,8 TIime in seconds 1,6 1,4 1,2 1,0 Units cut away 0,8 0,6 0,4 BENEFITS 0,2 • Improved safety • Impoved output power • Applicable on high temperature applications • Easy installation and maintenance • Cycling guarantee • Faster fill times 0 3.5 6 5 7 9 10 12 Operating pressure in bar BB4-50 BB4-100 BB4-150 BB4-200 BB4-300 Fill time* 360 Noise level 320 300 Noise level in db of discharge at given operating pressures 280 260 240 220 200 7 bar Noise level in db Time in seconds to reach operating pressure 340 180 160 140 120 100 6 bar 80 60 40 20 0 BB4-50 XHV TORNADO BB4-100 XHV TORNADO BB4-150 XHV TORNADO BB4-200 XHV TORNADO BB4-300 XHV TORNADO BB4-50 BB4-100 XHV-TORNADO XHV-TORNADO BB4-150 XHV-TORNADO BB4-200 XHV-TORNADO * Data based on labor tests.
