Dear Members, Guests, Exhibitors and Friends:
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to our 78th Annual National Convention & Exposition in St.
Louis, Missouri. The theme for our 2015 Convention is “Striving for Excellence with A New Beginning”. As in
years past, we will be celebrating with an exhibition that highlights a rich variety of funeral merchandise and
supplies from across the country and continuing education classes that will enhance your professional
growth. Our goal is to Connect, Educate & Share together in the “Show Me State.”
We are gathering in St. Louis as we renew our commitment to our profession. St. Louis is a place where
history and imagination collide, and the result is a Midwestern destination like no other. In addition to a
revitalized downtown, a vibrant new hospitality district continues to grow in downtown St. Louis. With St.
Louis’ world-class attractions, entertainment, many parks, diverse restaurants and rich culture, we are certain
your entire family will enjoy what St. Louis has to offer. The city offers exceptional music, arts and cultural
options, as well as such renowned – and free – attractions as the Saint Louis Art Museum, Zoo, Science
Center, the Missouri History Museum, City Garden, Grant’s Farm, Laumeier Sculpture Park, and the Anheuser-Busch brewery tours.
This year is filled with exciting events and gatherings. On Sunday we will have our Annual Family Worship
Service and Stop The Violence Rally & Motorcade. Join us Sunday evening for our Convention Welcome
Reception. On Monday morning, August 3, 2015, our official convention Opening Ceremony will take place
at 9:00AM, this has become one of the greatest highlights of our convention. Just prior to ceremony, we will
honor those with the CFSP Designation with a recognition breakfast. Our National Inter-Faith Service of
Remembrance (Annual Memorial Service) is going to be something you will not want to miss. Join us at
5:00PM on Monday evening as we remember our members, colleagues and friends. The Robert H. Miller
Professional of the Year awards banquet will be on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Our Education Commission
has planned an awesome enrichment week of powerful and thought provoking presentations. You will be
able to learn techniques ranging from Customer Care to Financial Stability to Waterless Embalming. Our
NFDMA, Inc. 40 & Under Funeral Directors cordially invites all students, apprentices and newly licensees
to participate in Mortuary Education Day on Wednesday, August 5, 2015.
NFDMA, Inc. has one of the best exposition halls anywhere. Visit our exhibitors and experience a variety of
new and pioneering trends in funeral service. We hope that you will take advantage of all activities that are
presented at the 78th Annual National Convention & Exposition. We hope that your stay will enrich you
intellectually, physically, mentally, spiritually, and professionally. May God continue to bless you and the

The 2015 Educational Program
ATTENDANCE POLICY FOR ALL EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS
In fairness to our speakers and audience, as well as to satisfy the Continuing Education
requirements of each state and the Academy of Professional Funeral Service,
the following policies will be strictly enforced:

If you enter a seminar fifteen (15) minutes after it has begun, you will not receive credit for that
session.

The national office has implemented a barcode scanner system to verify attendance at all
sessions. Therefore, only those states that require the use of State Approved Forms will have a
paper CEU form. All other attendees will have virtual forms. The scanners have been
programmed to automatically shut down fifteen (15) minutes after a session has started. Sign-in
sheets that are “State Specific” will be located outside of each course room. These sheets will
also be removed fifteen (15) after the session has begun.

State Specific Continuing Education Unit (CEU) forms will be authorized at the end of each
session. Only one (1) Continuing Education Unit (CEU) form will be authorized per attendee. At
the close of the last educational session of the convention, a member of the Education
Commission will be available to collect the forms and place the final NFDMA authorization on
your Continuing Education Unit (CEU) form to verify the hours you received.

In the event that you must leave the convention early, it is your responsibility to communicate
this to the Education Commission and return your State Specific Continuing Education Unit
(CEU) form to the Education Office to ensure you receive the final NFDMA authorization on
your Continuing Education Unit (CEU) form, verification of the hours your received and your
Certificate of Attendance.

All attendees are responsible for filing the Continuing Education Unit (CEU) form with the
appropriate state licensing authority and the Academy.

At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees will be notified when they are able to download
attendance records from the national website. A certificate of attendance will be provided to each
attendee who participates in the Educational Seminar.
