Designed for professional users, masterView is perfect in any operational environment for viewing images, checking sound, captions, and control data . masterView is designed for first level quality control and will provide quick, easy confirmation of every major program element. Prevent costly mistakes and last minute panics. masterView displays ? HD 16x9 and SD 4x3 Video ? Active Format Description ? Content Advisory ? Video on a waveform monitor ? Licensing masterView requires a license file to run. On starting masterView, if it is not licensed, a dialog will open with the MAC address. This MAC address is required to create a license for masterView. Send this address to [email protected] and a license file will be sent to you. This file should be placed in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Metaglue\Licenses, the .lic extension must be retained. If you have no files open in masterView, there will be an option on the file menu to install a license. Using this option will correctly install the license. The license file allows permission to run any version to run that was built before the end of your maintenance period. These versions will run forever, but if you do not continue maintenance you will not © 2015 Metaglue Corp Getting Started 3 be able to install later versions or utilize the new features in later builds. 2.2 Opening Files Use the Open button or drag a file from your computers explorer to the program window to load new files. We have tested with a range of cards and expect it to work with any AJA card. It was developed with a KONA-LHi card and thus that is the safest one to choose if there are no other reasons to use a different card. In order to use the card masterView requires the masterView SDI license for SDI output. masterView will detect the card when starting up an immediately start to use it. The SDI output can be stopped from the Options menu. 5 Tools masterView provides a range of tools to give you an in-depth way to view your digital video files. © 2015 Metaglue Corp Tools Drop down options allow you to control which video, audio, caption or timecode components are monitored. Options The current version on masterView supports Master Package Time Code and TC Timecode. 5.8 Metadata If a file contains clip metadata, you will be able to view it by clicking the Metadata button. 6 Options The options dialog gives control over the behavior of the application, for items that are likely to be constant from clip to clip. The options dialog is accessed from the options button on the main dialog box. For more information visit the page for each tool Display_Options These settings control general display options for all clips. Interlace Settings These settings control how masterView handles interlaced video in the main display. © 2015 Metaglue Corp Options SDI Card Options 6.1 These options control the behavior of the AJA SDI Card if present. Display Options Display © 2015 Metaglue Corp 13 14 Masterview These settings control general display options for all clips. Audio Reference Level. This can be set to -20dbFS for the US and -18dbFS for European requirements. This affects the metering only Show Caption Streams This will show 3 captions underneath the monitor, allowing you to monitor all the important streams of closed captions at the same time Show Extended Caption Streams This will extend the display to 6 captions that will show all the captions if you have many streams 6.2 Interlace Setting Options Interlace Settings These settings control how masterView handles interlaced video in the main display. It does not affect the SDI output Always line double interlace This option will handle interlaced material by only showing material from one field, line doubled if necessary. This provides the an image without artifacts, but maybe with loss of detail. With this box unclicked, both fields will be show with de-interlacing. As it is impossible to deinterlace all types of material there may be unexpected artifacts that do not show on an interlaced display. Decode both fields of JPEG 2000 interlaced. If this is not selected then only one field of JPEG 200 material will be decoded if possible. As JPEG2000 is very CPU intensive to decode this can allow a machine to display JPEG2000 material when it could nto otherwise show it. 6.3 SDI Card Options SDI Card © 2015 Metaglue Corp Options These options control the behavior of the AJA SDI Card if present. The first line shows what card has been detected, Disable Card This will disable the card if selected. A restart of masterView is required. Audio Follows Channel Selection IF selected then the audio will follow the selection of the audio metering. Otherwise the audio will be mapped one to one. © 2015 Metaglue Corp 15 16 Masterview Index -EExamine MXF file 1 -MMedia Objects 1 MOBs 1 MXF file examine 1 MXFixer help index 1 -QQuick Start 1 © 2015 Metaglue Corp 17 Masterview © 2015 Metaglue Corp All rights reserved.
