how to qualify a lender and ways to

objectives. Interviewing your banker is always an appropriate
step in the loan process. Specific scenarios will be reviewed
to demonstrate how complex proposals to banks can be best
presented once a lender is qualified.

How Fund Raisers Can Generate
An Additional $50,000 This Year
New Insight on Ways
to Recruit Youth
Fred Kaplowitz
Open your eyes to this seminar as Fred
Kaplowitz, President of the Kaploe
Marketing Group gives you secrets to get
at least $50,000 in additional center income from your fund
raising activities (and more league bowlers as well as open
play bowlers) all year long.
Think fund raisers are only for the winter? Think again, as
Fred lets you in on his battle tested marketing programs to
get additional fund raisers which lead to many other streams
of revenue. You’ll learn about planning, implementation tips
n’ tricks, email campaigns, telemarketing tips, targeted direct
mails (even fax programs!) and how to send relevant and
valuable “digital content” that your market will want to read and
will ask you to stay in touch with them. Don’t miss this one!
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 25
9:45–11:15 am
Why You Don’t
Have More League
Bowlers
Nancy Schenk and
Melissa McDaniel
Ever wondered why
league bowling keeps declining year after year? And what
can you possibly do to reverse the trend? Just listen to both
a single center operator and a chain manager and their
experiences, which have helped “steady the ship”.
It’s just possible that we are not taking care of our league
bowlers anymore. Just saying “see you next season” does not
cut it anymore. Learn what these operators are doing to make
the league bowling experience exciting all season long.
9:45–11:15 am
An Underwriter’s Perspective
Sean Curtin, Tokio Marine/HCC
Join HCC’s Sean Curtin as he gives you
a peak behind the curtain to take a look
at your center from an underwriter’s
perspective. In this learning lab, Sean will
give you real world tips and simple solutions to improve your
rating and make your center more attractive to an underwriter
as well as discuss housekeeping issues to continue to keep
your center at low risk for loss.
In any event, whether your business model is a Traditional
Center or a new Bowling Center, you won’t want to miss this
session in which you will learn more about:
• Introduction to Risk Management
• Common Coverage Gaps
• No-Fault Coverage & Why It May Be Harmful to GL Rates
• Optional Coverage Considerations
• What Role Does an Agent/Broker Play?
Roger Noordhoek
Traditional youth development strategies
aren’t enough to capture and sustain
youth program participation. This seminar
will provide you with valuable insight on effective and proven
methods on how to engage youth through existing and new
programming. This seminar is ideal for centers who are
struggling to bring youth into the door.
1:15–2:45 pm
