Der Einser This presentationbook is a Presentation 4.1.2 Documentation of hidden components Monoblock for subwoofers mounted on the left-side in the trunk. Presentation 4.1.2 Documentation of hidden components Presentation 4.1.2 Documentation of hidden components Underseat midbas speaker Presentation 4.1.2 Documentation of hidden components Mid in door Tweeter door Presentation 4.1.2 Documentation of hidden components Filter in power cable of headunit Presentation 4.1.3 Documentation of hidden wiring Presentation 4.1.3 Documentation of hidden wiring Presentation 4.1.6 Cleanliness Wiring 4.2.1 Fusing • • • All amplifier fuses are on the custom build fuseholder in the trunk under the a amp-rack. The fuse sizes can be found in the flowchart. The mainfuse is within 40 cm of het battery. Wiring 4.2.1 Fusing • The HU is fused in het power cable and in the fusebox . Wiring 4.2.4 Cables properly terminated • All cable connections are tinned or include a cable jacket. Midbass underseat Mid in door Tweeter in door Wiring 4.2.4 Cables properly terminated Connection doorspeaker Wiring 4.2.4 Cables properly terminated Signal cable Wiring 4.2.4 Cables properly terminated • All cable connections are tinned or include a cable jacket. Under the fuse block Positive power cable Wiring 4.2.4 Cables properly terminated • All cable connections are tinned or include a cable jacket. Negative power cable Wiring 4.2.5 Any cable termination properly protected • All cable terminations are gold-plated, tinned, or provided with anticorrosive lubricant, against corrosion. • All cable terminations are protected from short circuit or behind detachable panels Wiring 4.2.6 Cables protected from damage No cables are passing sharp edges, the main battery is in the trunk. The speakers cables in the door are connected in het original housing Wiring 4.2.7. Interiour cables hidden from view All systemwires are hidden from view Installation 4.3.1. Components securely mounted Mountingpanels securely mounted • All mounting panels serving as a structural hold for components are bolted to the car using m6 bolts. • Mounting panels serving cosmetic purposes are pressure fitted. Installation 4.3.1. Components securely mounted Mountingpanels securely mounted Nylon rings were made to fix the tweeters in the factory housing. The rings are fixed using a drip of Loctite 243 Installation 4.3.1. Components securely mounted Mountingpanels securely mounted Midbas is mounted in the factory housing using m6 allen bolds Installation 4.3.1. Components securely mounted Mountingpanels securely mounted Mid is mounted in the factory housing using m6 nuts reinforced with a steel ring. Installation 4.3.1. Components securely mounted Mountingpanels securely mounted A special bracket is made to fix the HU to the car. Installation 4.3.1. Components securely mounted Mountingpanels securely mounted 2 amplifiers are fixed to a custom amprack using m4 snake eye anti theft bolds The amprack is fixed to the car using 2 allen bolds and a actuator. The actuator can be switched off for when the car is running. Installation 4.3.1. Components securely mounted Mountingpanels securely mounted 1 amplifiers is fixed to a custom amprack using m4 allen bolds The amprack is fixed to the car using m6 bolds and a bracket. Installation 4.3.2 Cooling Non of the used components needs aditionall cooling. Installation 4.3.3 Protection of Speakers All speakers are protected against damage Installation 4.3.4 Normal use of the Vehicle All components of the stereo system are mounted in such way, that the physical location does allow normal use of the vehicle on the two front seats. Installation 4.3.5 First optic impression All parts of the installation are completed and not “underconstruction”. Design 4.5.1 Craftmanship - Wiring Custom build fuse holder build off aluminium and epoxy. Design 4.5.1 Craftmanship - Wiring Custom made twisted signal wiring, made like the original BMW wiring using original BMW tape. The wires are colour coded Design 4.5.1 Craftmanship - Wiring Craftsmanship 4.5.2 Craftsmanship Front-end The cable of the Hu is modified to fits the cars’s quadlock plug A bracket is made to fit the HU to the car Craftsmanship 4.5.3 Craftsmanship Amplifier Custom motorized, powder coated amp-rack. Custom powder coated amp-rack fixed on the original mountingpoint of the car. Dir1 = direction Up Dir2 = Direction Down BONUS POINTS Serviceability Main battery is still accessible. BONUS POINTS Serviceability Speaker wires in the door are connectet inside the original conection so the door can be dismounted is necessary. BONUS PIONTS Special efforts for serviceability. Custom-made tweeter adapters fits the factory housing. BONUS POINTS Special materials and technologies The subwoofer casing is made of Epoxy with keper-fibre and follows the contours of the car. BONUS POINTS Custom made signal wiring according to BMW factory specifications BONUS POINTS Custom build fuse holder build off aluminium and epoxy. BONUS POINTS Special performance of installation for theft resistance Special anti theft bolds on visible amplifiers BONUS POINTS Special performance of installation for theft resistance A special bracket is made to fix the HU to the car. BONUS POINTS Special performance of installation for theft resistance BONUS POINTS Lighting of source unit matches original gauges or lighting used in other places BONUS POINTS Usability of trunk area BONUS POINTS Promote component longevity • Amplifier does not exceed the maximum handeling power of the speakers.
