Situated at the base of scenic South Mountain, The Legacy Golf Resort is famous for
its desert beauty, the abundance of year-round activities and cultural attractions.
Shopping, fine dining and entertainment in downtown Phoenix are plentiful, and
just a few miles away. Desert jeep tours, hot-air balloon rides and day trips to the
Grand Canyon and Sedona are perfect for adventure seekers. An array of recreational
opportunities include an 18-hole championship golf course, a swimming pool, two
hot tubs, separate children’s wading pool and playground,
two tennis courts (lighted for night play), shuffleboard, sand volleyball, a deluxe
fitness center and an extensive activities program. Spa treatments are also available
by appointment through the fitness center.
The Legacy Golf Resort offers beautifully appointed accommodations decorated in
Spanish mission-style. Your unit features either a full kitchen or kitchenette, generous
living and dining areas, washer and dryer, spacious bath(s) — some with jetted tubs —
and either a balcony or patio.

BLUE RIDGE BEAUTY
Foxhunt at Sapphire Valley is nestled on a wooded mountainside in the
southernmost part of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A visit to Sapphire Valley affords
the comforts and relaxation of a classic vacation retreat but also offers spectacular
beauty and natural wonder for those who prefer to spend their time outdoors.
Surrounded by woods and hills that are ideal for exploring, the two-bedroom
accommodations are spacious and feature fully-equipped kitchens, washers and
dryers and wood burning fireplaces in every unit. You’ll enjoy the many on-site
amenities including an outdoor pool, a park with picnic area, an 18-hole PGA golf
course, eight clay tennis courts and a health club with an indoor pool, hot tub and
exercise equipment. Hiking, fishing, miniature golf and canoeing are other popular
activities. Skiing is available mid-December through February, weather permitting.
A car is recommended to access the various amenities, which are available through
the resort’s participation in the Sapphire Valley Master Association.

POINTS CHART FOR EXTERNAL EXCHANGES*
The number of Points required for an Interval Exchange is
based on unit size, days of travel and the Travel Demand
Index (TDI). The TDI for each area of a region can be found
in the beginning of each resort section in the Interval
International Resort Directory.
The TDI serves as a useful guide by demonstrating the
historical strength of demand in a given area during each
week of the year.

BOOKING AN EXCHANGE
All Interval International® exchanges can be booked online or
by calling Member Services. Upon confirmation, the required
Points will be deducted from your account.
•• Flexchange is for full-week stays only; no nightly stays
are available.
•• Members can take advantage of this program by booking
online or calling 877-743-5510.
•• You may book as many exchanges as your Points allow.
•• Standard Interval International Exchange Fees apply.
•• Banked, borrowed, rented, saved and shared Points can
be used for all exchange opportunities.
•• Pending requests are not accepted for Flexchange.
•• Interval International charges an exchange fee for a
confirmation. Exchange fees will be refunded if canceled
within the initial 24 hours following a confirmation’s issuance.
Interval International also charges an exchange fee when an
ongoing search or pending request is placed. In this instance,
if no match occurs, the exchange fee is refunded.
Access to Interval International Exchange programs is a benefit
of your Shell Vacations Club Membership, and exchanges are
subject to availability based on the number of Points. There
are no additional membership fees. Members must be in good
standing in order to request an external exchange.
INTERVAL FULL WEEK EXCHANGE
To book an Interval Exchange, visit shellvacationsclub.com or
call Member Services. Weekly stays are available up to two
years in advance of the check-in date. If your vacation choice
is available on request, you can confirm it immediately. If
it’s not available, just place a pending vacation request and
Interval will continue to search for your vacation, confirming
you automatically when a match is found.
SHORTSTAY EXCHANGES
ShortStay Exchange gives Members even more flexibility,
allowing as many exchanges of one to six nights as your
available Points allow. Pending requests are not accepted for
ShortStay Exchange.
FLEXCHANGE®
The Interval International Flexchange Program provides
members with the opportunity to book a full week Interval
Exchange vacation for only 50% of the Points indicated on
the Shell Vacations Club Points External Exchange Grid, when
requested and confirmed 59 days or less prior to arrival date.
GUEST CERTIFICATES
Members may provide an Interval International® Exchange or
Getaway to family or friends through a Guest Certificate. Guest
Certificates make great gifts and are a fantastic way to let you
share your love of travel with those you care about. Guest
Certificate recipients must be at least 21 years of age. Signature

Understanding Your Points and Your
Use Year
As a Shell Vacations Club Member you start off with a set
of Shell Vacations Club Points. Your Points are like currency,
used to book all the exciting vacation options available to
you. These Points are allocated to you annually. You have 12
months to spend your Points. This 12-month timeframe is
called your Use Year.
USING POINTS – YOUR USE YEAR
The Membership Agreement you received states how many
Points you will receive each Use Year. Your Use Year is a
one-year period during which you may use your annual
Points allocation and begins once you become a Member.
If you signed your Membership Agreement on or before the
15th day of a month, then your Use Year will begin on the
first day of the first month after your membership first took
effect. For example, if you buy a Membership on June 5,
your Use Year would start on July 1. July 1 is called your
Use Year “begin date.” Your Use Year will end the following
June 30. June 30 is called your Use Year “end date.”
If you signed your Membership Agreement after the 15th day

HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR OPPORTUNITIES
The Shell Vacations Club reservations system has been
designed to give you the best possible opportunity to
arrange a truly outstanding vacation every time you travel
with us. In general, the best advice we can give you is to
decide where you want to go and request reservations as
early as possible. Also, it helps to have a couple of alternate
vacation choices ready, especially if you are requesting very
popular destinations and/or times of the year.
RESERVATION BASICS
These are the basic steps for making a reservation request:
•• Decide where you want to go and make reservations
as early as possible based on the type of Club Points
within your account. Be prepared with several alternative
vacation choices, especially if you are requesting popular
destinations and/or times of the year.
•• Decide if this reservation will be for you or a guest
and enter the correct name and address information on
the reservation.
•• Check the Points chart to find the Point value of
accommodations and Use Nights you wish to reserve.
The length of vacations you may request depends on
the time of your request and varies from resort to resort.
This may range from a single night to as many nights as
you have Points available to cover.
•• Check your Points Account to make sure you have
enough eligible Points available.
YOUR POINTS ACCOUNT
Before the beginning of each Use Year, your Club will
allocate to you the number of Club Points specified in your
Membership Agreement and hold them for you in your
Points Account. As you use them, your Club will record the
use of your Points from your Points Account and withdraw
any unused Points at the end of your Use Year. Because the
Club gives you so many ways to enjoy your Points, chances
are that you will use them all during any Use Year.

call a Member Services Representative at 877-743-5510
and request your desired vacation. Requests are usually
confirmed on a first-requested, first-confirmed basis.
POINTS REQUIRED FOR RESERVATIONS
The number of Points you need to reserve accommodations
at a Shell Vacations Club resort are detailed in the resort’s
Points chart. You may also use them to arrange for an
external exchange or to obtain other Club Benefits. You will
find Points charts for all resorts in the “The Shell Vacations
Club Resorts” section of this directory.
There are four different times, called “reservation windows,”
when you can request a reservation. Your reservation windows
are based on the type of Club Points in your account.
•• Reservations will not be processed until all appropriate
fees have been paid.
•• All reservations become valid when you receive
confirmation from the Club via email or mail.
1.The “Home Plan reservation period” runs from two years
until 366 days (about one year) before the Check-In Day
of a Use Period. During the Home Plan reservation period,
Founding Interest Points and Direct Interest Points may
be used only to request a reservation in Member’s Home
Plan for the exact Vacation Interest identified in their
Membership Agreement. Of course, a reservation cannot
be requested before the Home Plan starts accepting
reservation requests.

2.The “Home Club reservation period” runs from 365 days
(about a year) until 277 (about 9 months) days before
the Check-In Day of a Use Period. During the Home Club
reservation period, Founding Interest Points and Premier
Interest Points may be used to request a reservation in
Member’s Home Club. From 365 days to 277 days (about
1 year to 9 months), Direct Interest Points can be used
to request a reservation in the Member’s Home Plan for
Vacation Interests other than the one identified in their
Membership Agreement.
3.The “Club reservation period” means the 276 days (about
nine months) immediately before the Check-In Day of a Use
Period. During the Club reservation period, Direct Interest
Points, Founding Interest Points and Premier Interest Points
may be used to request a reservation for an available Club
Unit that nobody else has the exclusive right to reserve.
4.The “Late Opportunity reservation period” means the
sixty (60) day period immediately before the Check-In Day
of a Use Period. During this reservation window, all point
types can be used to request a reservation. In addition,
Shell Vacations may reserve any available Club Unit. The
developer of each Shell Owners Club may also reserve any
available Unit in that Shell Owners Club. This means that
during the late opportunity reservation period, the Club
Members may have to compete with Shell Vacations and
the developers of the various Shell Owners Clubs for a
reservation.
IS THERE A MINIMUM OR MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF TIME I
CAN RESERVE?
Depending on the Resort and the time when you make your
reservation request, you can reserve from one night to as
many nights as your Club Points will cover. The Use Nights you
reserve are called your “Vacation Period.”
•• If you request a reservation more than 307 days (about 10
months) before the Check-In Day of the Use Period sought,
you must reserve a minimum of 7 consecutive nights. You
may request a reservation of as few as 2 consecutive nights
starting 307 days, and single nights starting 60 days, in
advance of the Check-In Day of the Use Period.

Canceling or Changing a Reservation
We hope nothing happens that requires you to change your
reservations, or even worse, cancel your vacation altogether.
But we understand that sometimes things are unavoidable.
Here is how to handle the situation.
CANCELING OR CHANGING A RESERVATION
To cancel or change a reservation, call a Member Services
Representative. Cancellation policies will vary depending on
the resort or benefit booked. (The procedure to change a
confirmed reservation is the same as if you were canceling a
confirmed reservation and making a new one.)

Reservation Confirmations
As part of our continuing effort to be “Green,” and to
minimize the costs to the Club, our preferred method of
sending reservations confirmations is via email. We ask that
you please keep your account updated with your current
email address.
•• You will receive two emails once your complete a
reservation. The first will outline that a point transaction
has occurred and show any deductions for that
transaction. The second will be the actual reservation
confirmation which will arrive within 48 hours of
confirming your reservation.
•• Should you not have an email address on file with us,
you will receive a written confirmation letter by U.S. Mail
within 10 business days.
•• Your confirmation will include information about your
reservation, unit, and resort features, area attractions and
driving directions to the resort.
•• Less than 14 days prior to check-in = No Points refund

KEEPING YOUR VACATIONS THE BEST
In order to ensure that Shell Vacations Club and your Home
Club or Home Resort work as well as possible for you, there
are fees for particular benefits and services. You can be sure
that we will do all we can to keep these fees to the minimum
level that will permit us to provide the standard of service
you expect and deserve. Shell Vacations Club Members
receive two Free Transaction days per Use Year as part of
their annual club fee.
LifeStyles benefits. While transaction fees do not apply to
external exchanges, you must pay the exchange company’s
standard fee for each confirmed exchange. Please note that
certain transactions may be processed online and qualify
for a discounted online transaction fee. Signature Members
receive additional Free Transactions days. The number of
days is based on their Signature tier.
Some resorts may charge additional fees for rental of
sports equipment, long-distance phone calls and other
optional services. You may inquire about such fees when
requesting reservations at a particular resort. Also, the Club
may from time to time offer various optional benefits called
SVC LifeStyles and charge a fee per use.

SAVE ON TRANSACTION FEES
Plan ahead and make multiple reservations in the same
day. All transactions booked within the same calendar day
that relate to the same Use Year are considered only one
transaction. All transactions made online are $17.50 versus
the $25 fee for a telephone transaction. A transaction day
online is considered 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. ET.
SVC LIFESTYLES FEE
In addition to transaction fees, there is an SVC LifeStyles fee
for utilizing any of the SVC LifeStyles options. The current
SVC LifeStyles fee is $5. If a Member makes more than one
SVC LifeStyles transaction, there’s an SVC LifeStyles fee for
each transaction. SVC LifeStyles is an optional fee-based
program available only to Members using Points purchased
from a Shell Vacations Club sales location
Transaction Fees are charges not covered by your Annual
Club Fees. Booking reservations, canceling reservations and
banking are all considered transactions. Any reservations,
cancellation or banking that you complete within the same
business day are considered one transaction. Reservations
include Dash Away Deals, for Home Club or Affiliated
Resorts, SVC Collections (including SVC PlayDeck) or SVC

STAYING CURRENT WITH YOUR FEES
When you request a reservation, Shell Vacations will check
to be sure that you have paid all amounts due with respect
to your membership. Reservation services will not process
or confirm your reservation request if you have not paid all
amounts due. Shell Vacations will check for these charges
among others:
•• The annual club fees for your Membership;
•• Any transaction fees charged by Shell Vacations;
•• Any other club fees charged by Shell Vacations;
•• The monthly payments of the purchase price due under
your Membership Agreement
•• The fees and assessments charged by your Home Club or
Home Plan
If you do not pay your annual club fee or your transaction
fees, then Shell Vacations may charge you a late fee and
may also charge you interest on the unpaid amounts. Also,
Shell Vacations will not process or confirm your reservation
requests until you have paid all amounts due (including any
late fee and interest). Shell Vacations also may suspend
or restrict your other privileges such as external exchange
privileges and the right to use other club benefits.
Housekeeping Fees
Every Member’s Association Fee covers a minimum of
two housekeeping services per year at Shell Vacations
Club resorts*, and more depending on the number of
Points you own. These housekeeping services are used
for cleaning the unit upon check-out. If a Member requires
extra housekeeping services, additional fees are required as
described below and collected at the resort.
MID-WEEK CLEANINGS
In addition to housekeeping services upon check-out,
Members staying 5–7 nights will receive one complimentary
mid-week cleaning per resort stay; two cleanings for 8–11
night stays; three for 12–14 nights; and four for 15–18 nights.
This mid-week cleaning is distinct from and does not affect
the two housekeeping services described above. Additional
cleanings are available upon request for fees established by
each Shell Owners Association.**

Points Possibilities
BANK, BORROW, SHARE AND RENT POINTS
When we say that Shell Vacations Club Members enjoy the
power of Points, it’s because there are so many flexible ways
to use them. For example, if you’re not going to use all of
your Points in a given Use Year, you may bank them for the
next year. Or perhaps you’re looking to take a vacation that
requires more Points than you have in your account. In this
instance, you may borrow Points from your next Use Year. In
fact, you could bank your Points from this year, and then next
year, borrow Points from the following year. You would have
three times the Points you would typically have available in a
Use Year so you could take the vacation of your dreams.
Here are several ways to put the flexibility of Points to work
for you:
BANK POINTS
If you do not use all your Points in one Use Year, you may
bank them for the next Use Year. Again there are a few rules:

•• Banking your Points must be completed 120 days prior to
the end of your current Use Year. Banking your unused
Points can be done one of these two ways prior to the
banking deadline: Log into the “Members Only” section

•• Points banked in one Use Year must be used by the end
of the very next Use Year or they will expire.
•• Banked Points may only be used during the Club

Club resort before the end of your use year.
BORROW POINTS
You are welcome to borrow Points, keeping in mind these
simple requirements:

SHARE POINTS
You may share your Points with other Members. You may

Points originating from the same Use Year as the travel
dates requested by the receiving Member (No borrowed

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

prior to the time of check-in at the resort.
•• If you will be checking in late, please notify the resort

scheduled arrival date. Failure to do so may result in the
cancellation of your reservation without notification and
forfeiture of all Shell Vacations Club Points associated

traveling with pets are encouraged to contact Guest

•• Service animals that are trained to work or perform
tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability are
welcome at all Shell Vacations Club-managed locations.

WHILE AT THE RESORT
•• Maximum occupancy limits per unit type at the resort are

out past the designated check-out time.
•• All resorts managed by Shell Vacations Club have a
non-smoking policy in the units and buildings.
•• Please remember that room views are not guaranteed
and the resort reserves the right to assign units of the
same type as confirmed with your reservation.
•• If you decide to leave early, it will result in the forfeiture of
the remainder of your reservation and no Shell Vacations
Club Points will be returned to your account in accordance
with the Shell Vacations Club cancellation policy.
•• At our resorts, we require that the name of the individual
checking in matches the name on the reservation. If
you’ve made a reservation, and you will not be occupying

membership directly as part of a member’s estate. No other
Membership transfers, including resale, will convey SVC
LifeStyles or Signature benefits.

CHANGING AUTHORIZED USERS
An authorized user is a family member or friend who is
not an owner but who you have given permission to have
full access to your Shell Vacations Club Membership. An
authorized user will be able to make reservations for all the
Points that are part of the Shell Vacations Club Membership.
MERGING MEMBERSHIPS
In order to merge Memberships under one unique ID the
names on both accounts need to match. This also applies for
merging two Memberships. Please note that Memberships
can be merged only if they are in the same Home Club.
While they can be combined under one unique ID for
Club use, as Home Clubs are separate timeshare plans,
the Home Club Memberships cannot be combined. For
example, a Hawai‘i and West Membership can be under one
unique ID, but they would still be two separate Home Club
Memberships.
Fee: There is no fee to merge Memberships under one
unique ID.*

the proper documents have been received by Shell

If you require a new Points Certificate from Wyndham Title

A Points Certificate is not necessary for the sale of your
Membership. A new Points Certificate will be automatically

Your Assessment and Financial Services
The more you experience the resorts and benefits of
your Shell Vacations Club Membership, the more you will
appreciate the variety of services it offers. These services
and benefits also demonstrate how your Annual Club and
Owner Association Fees are put to the best possible use.
ANNUAL CLUB FEES
Annual Club Fees* are due for each Membership owned.
Annual Club Fees include such things as toll-free central
reservations, Shell Vacations Club website management,
external exchange company membership, and overall
operations of the Club.
Included in this fee are two transactions per Use Year at no
additional cost. Additional Transactions are charged a fee
based on the Use Year associated with the Points used.

OWNER ASSOCIATIONS AND RELATED FEES
The costs involved in maintaining each resort are known as
annual maintenance or association fees. Separate owner
associations help determine each Member’s fair share of
maintenance costs related to the resort’s operation. Shell
Vacations Home Club associations assess fees based on the
number of Points owned in an individual Home Club. For
example, Americana Home Club Members do not absorb
the costs of other Home Clubs such as Hawai‘i and West.
In addition, unlike many other point systems that assess
maintenance fees on the basis of points owned, Shell
Vacations Club assesses a base fee for all Members up to a
certain Point amount and then a per Point fee beyond that
number. This ensures fairness in allocating costs. Members
with Direct Interest Points pay their association dues to the
association related to their Independent Vacation Plan.

You can check your Loan and Maintenance Fee Status
directly at shellvacationsclub.com. You can view important
information such as loan status, payment due date and more.
To view your Loan or Maintenance Fee Status online:

2.Select Loan Status or Maintenance Fee Status under the
Financial Info section of the left-hand navigation.
3.If you have multiple accounts, you can select between
the accounts on the pull-down menu.

maintenance fee payments, view payment history and find
answers to questions including loan and auto withdrawal
inquiries.
To make a payment online:
1. Log into the Shell Vacations Club Members Only section.
2.Select Loan Information to link to Equiant.com.
3.On the Equiant website, you will need your Equiant
account number and your phone number to log into
this site.
Your Association Fee goes toward the upkeep and care of
the Shell Vacations Club resorts within your Home Resort
or Club. It’s not unlike a traditional condominium association
fee, except that it covers the costs of considerably more
services than most residential developments. These
include interior maintenance, recreation facility care and
landscaping, as well as housekeeping supplies and linens,
resort staff salaries, utilities, insurance, property taxes, plus
various administrative costs and replacement reserves.

Glossary of Club Terms
The following words have special meanings within Shell
Vacation Club Rules:
Check-In Day means the first day of a vacation period.
Check-In Time means the time after which members and
occupants may check in with the property manager and
then occupy their assigned unit. Each independent vacation
plan sets its own check-in time. The Association rules set the
check-in time for all other home club units.
Check-Out Time means the time after which members and
occupants must move out of their assigned unit and check
out with the property manager. Each independent vacation
plan sets its own check-out time. The Association rules for
each home club association set the check-out time for all
other home club units included in that home club.
Club or Shell Vacations Club means the Shell Vacations
Club. The club is not a corporation or other legal entity. It is
a service business operated by Shell Vacations. This service
includes: (i) a reservation and exchange system which lets
club members reserve units in their home club or in other
resorts available through the club; (ii) access to one or more
external exchange programs which lets club members use
units which are not available through the club; and (iii) any
other vacation, travel, entertainment, or other benefits which
Shell Vacations may offer to club members from time to time.
Club Benefits consists of Core Benefits and Optional
Benefits as further defined below:
•• Core Benefits include (i) a reservation and exchange
system which lets Club Members reserve units in their
Home Club or in other resorts available through the Club;
(ii) access to one or more External Exchange Programs
which lets Club Members use units which are not available
through the Club and; (iii) out-of-network benefits as
determined by Shell Vacations from time to time.
•• Optional Benefits means other vacation, travel,
entertainment, or other benefits which Shell Vacations
may offer to Club Members from time to time. Uses of
Optional Benefits are based on eligibility requirements
established by Shell Vacations which requirements may
change from time to time.
Club Documents means the Affiliation Agreements and the
Club Rules.
•• Affiliation Agreement means an agreement between
(i) Shell Vacations, (ii) the developer of a particular
Shell Club, and (iii) the owners Association of that Shell
Owners Club. The Affiliation Agreement provides, among

other things, that all owners of Vacation Interests in
that Shell Owners Club will automatically be enrolled in
and become Members of the Shell Vacations Club. The
term also means the arrangement with an Independent
Vacation Plan where Owners in such plan are allowed
to exchange with Shell Vacations their interest in the
Independent Vacation Plan for Points to use in the Shell
Vacations Club. The arrangement with an Independent
Vacation Plan allows Owners in such plan to join the Club,
however, they are not required to do so.
•• Club Rules means any rules adopted by Shell Vacations
from time to time.
Club Member or Member or You means a member of the
club. There are three types of points a Member may hold,
further described in the Club Rules, which are:
•• Direct Interest Points
•• Founding Interest Points
•• Premier Interest Points
Club Points, Shell Vacation Club Points or Points represent
a Member’s reservation and use rights and access to Core
Benefits in the Club and, based on eligibility, may be used for
Optional Benefits. There are currently three (3) types of Club
Points which are as follows:
•• Direct Interest Points – Points allocated to a member in
exchange for such member’s Independent Vacation Plan
interest. Direct Interest Points can be used to reserve a
Home Plan Use Right.
•• Founding Interest Points – Points allocated to a Member
who trades a Vacation Interest in an Independent
Vacation Plan to a Shell Owners Club. Founding Interest
Points can be used to reserve a Home Plan Use Right and
a Home Club Use Right.
•• Premier Interest Points – Points allocated to a Member
in relation to the purchase of an interest in a Shell Owners
Club. Premier Points can be used to reserve a Home
Club Use Right.
Club Unit means a unit included in a Shell Owners Club. If a
Shell Owners Club owns a vacation interest, then “club unit”
will also mean a unit available through that Shell Owners
Club because it owns that vacation interest.
Direct Membership Agreement means a Membership
agreement which permits a Member with Direct Interest
Points to exchange his or her reservation and use rights in
an independent vacation plan for vacation Points in the club.
Exchange Company means a company which operates an
external exchange program.

Exchange Program means a service which permits vacation
owners to trade their use rights in their vacation plan for the
right to use other property.
Home Club Membership Agreement means the Membership
agreement between a Home Club Association and a Member
of that Home Club.
Exchange User means a person whose use of a club unit is
arranged through an external exchange program.
Home Club Resort means a resort included in a Member’s
Home Club or available through it.
External Exchange Program means an exchange program
which permits club members to trade their use rights in the
club for the right to use other property which is not part of
the club.
Home Club Unit means a unit included in a Member’s Home
Club or available through it.
Fixed Week Use Right means that the Home Plan Vacation
Interest includes the right to use the same week every year
(or every other year if the home plan use right allows use
only every other year).
Guest means a club member’s, the developer’s, Shell
Vacations, or an exchange user’s family, visitors, renters,
employees, servants, tenants, “licensees” (persons permitted
in the vacation unit) and “invitees” (persons invited in).
An exchange user is not considered a “guest” of the club
member whose vacation period he or she uses.
Home Club, Home Club Program or Program, means the
Shell Owners Club to which a Member who owns Founding
or Premier Points belongs. Since Members with Direct
Interest Points are not Members of a Shell Owners Club, they
have no Home Club. There are currently four (4) Home Clubs
as follows:
•• Shell Owners Club – Americana
•• Shell Owners Club – Hawai‘i
•• Shell Owners Club – Pacific
•• Shell Owners Club – West
•• Each of the four (4) Home Clubs includes resorts for
which Founding Interest Points have been issued. A
current list of the resorts for each club where Founding
Interest Points may be used can be located in the Shell
Vacations Club Exchange Disclosure maintained by Shell
Vacations.
Home Plan is the Independent Vacation Plan in which a
Member’s Direct Interest points and/or Founding Interest
Points relate.
Home Plan Vacation Interest means the Vacation Interest
in which a Member’s Direct Interest Points and/or Founding
Interest Points relate.
Home Plan or Home Resort Use Right means the use rights
which go with the Home Plan Vacation Interest for which
Direct Interest Points or Founding Interest Points relate. If
the Home Plan Vacation Interest includes a Fixed Week Use
Right, then “Home Plan Use Right” means that very week.
Otherwise, it means the right of the Vacation Owner to
reserve and then use a week or other time period according
to the documents governing the Home Plan.
Home Plan Vacation Interest means (i) the vacation interest
owned by a Direct member, or (ii) the vacation interest traded
in by a Founding member for a membership in a Shell Club.
Immediate Relative includes parents, spouse, domestic
partner, siblings, children, grandchildren or any heir
acquiring a membership as part of a member’s estate.
Membership Agreement has different meanings depending
on the kind of Membership you own. For a Direct Member,
it is the Member’s Direct Membership Agreement. For a
Founding Member or a Premier Member, it is an agreement
between that Member and the Association of a Shell Owners
Club which makes that person a member of that Shell
Owners Club.
Home Club Member means a Member of a Home
Club Association.
Occupant means a Club Member, Shell Vacations, or an
exchange user while he or she is occupying or using a
Club Unit or any part of a resort containing a Club Unit. It
also includes the developer of a Shell Owners Club while
it is occupying or using a Club Unit or any part of a resort
containing a Club Unit in that developer’s Shell Owners Club.
The guest of a Club Member, Shell Vacations or exchange
user is also an “Occupant.”
Home Club Membership means a Membership in a Home
Club Association.
Other Shell Club means a Shell Owners Club other than your
Home Club.
Home Club Association means the association of owners of
Memberships in a particular Home Club.
Home Club Documents means the documents governing a
Member’s Home Club.

Reservation Window means a period of time when
a Member, the developer or Shell Vacations can make
a reservation.
Use Period means a use night, a use week, a weekend use
period or any other period of consecutive use nights in a
given unit.
Resort means property containing a unit. Normally a resort
would be a real estate development, such as a condominium
project. However a ship which contains a unit would also be
considered a “resort.”
Use Week means a period seven consecutive use nights
beginning at check-in time on one day and ending at
check-out time on the same day of the following week.
Resort Documents means the documents governing a
particular resort.
Use Year means the one-year period during which a Member
must use his or her Club points. The Use Year is reflected in
the Membership Agreement.
Service Period means a major service period or a minor
service period.
Vacation Interest means an interest in a vacation plan which
gives its owner the right to use a unit in that plan.
•• Major Service Period means a use period set aside for
annual maintenance and repair of a club unit. Each year,
the each home club association may choose up to one
full use week in each home club unit included in that
program to be the major service period for that unit. If
needed to maintain or upgrade the unit, and if that home
club’s vacancy rate is high enough to permit it, the home
club association may set aside more time for the major
service period. If a unit is part of an independent vacation
plan, then the home club association does not have to
set aside a use week as the major service period for that
unit. This is because the independent association for that
vacation plan will be responsible to maintain and repair
the unit.
Vacation Owner means the owner of a Vacation Interest.
•• Minor Service Period means the time between check-out
time of one person’s vacation period and check-in time of
the next person’s vacation period.
Shell Vacations means Shell Vacations, LLC, an Illinois
limited liability company. If Shell Vacations signs a document
which expressly transfers some or all of its rights as Shell
Vacations to someone else, then that person will become the
“Shell Vacations” to the extent of the rights transferred.
Unit means (i) a condominium unit, apartment, hotel room,
house, recreational vehicle, houseboat, cabin of a ship, or
other property which is suitable and intended to provide
overnight lodging for one or more people, or (ii) a campsite
suitable and intended to provide overnight parking and
utility services for a recreational vehicle.
Use Night means a period beginning at check-in time on one
day and ending at check-out time the next day.
Vacation Period means a use period reserved by a Club
Member, the developer, or Shell Vacations for use by a Club
Member or other Occupant.
Vacation Plan or Plan means a vacation ownership or time
share plan or program. There are two kinds of vacation
plans:
•• Independent Vacation Plan means a plan (i) approved by
Shell Vacations, and (ii) where vacation owners may join
the Club but do not have to do so.
•• Shell Owners Club means a vacation plan where all
vacation owners automatically become Members of
the Club
Weekend Use Period means a period of three or fewer
consecutive use nights which includes a Friday or a Saturday
night or both.

and other important information regarding Shell
Vacations Club are contained in the Shell Vacations
Club Rules, the Member’s Directory and all
supplements thereto including content on the website
shellvacationsclub.com. All fees and costs are
subject to increase and Shell Vacations reserves the
right to modify or terminate benefits or programs at
any time.
