The current available range for light advertising systems is briefly as follows and suitable for
indoor or outdoor use
LED Module Chains
The LED module chain is the most widely used system for lighting channel lettering. With their high level of flexibility
producing light in both straight lines contours and curves is easily achievable.
LED Strip
These are strips of LEDs on a roll. long distances in straight lines are quickly and easily achieved.
Whilst not intended for curves. they can be achieved using short straight pieces.
The strips are ideal for using to accentuate long straight edges or as a light source for building or architectural contouring requirements.
LED Strips
LED Strips are well suited to this application. with their high light output and very slim design for small spaces.
They produce a very even surface light. perfect for backlighting slides or other surfaces.
Ideal for and intended for use in straight lines.
Versions fitted into aluminum profile have the added advantage of using the profile as a cooling feature.

MX-LED Panels
The MX-LED panels are ideal for large shallow area back lighting. Especially with depths between 40 and 80 mm.
At greater depths there are more suitable strip and module chains to use.
Due to the high light density of MX-LED panels. they are particularly well suited to indoor display panels in shopping areas.
Standard available light panels suffer greatly from ambient light. MX-LED panels achieve much improved visibility
ED-LED Line Source
ED-LED spotlight system is an indirect box-light type system. LEDs are mounted in line on the light box frame.
The integrated optics radiate light in form of a fan laterally in the box.
They are also very quick and simple to install. saving much time. but do not have the brightness of back lighting
by the MX-LED source. A depth of just 60 mm is possible(depending on the box type).
ED-LED are particularly suitable for double sided styles of signs. as both sides are illuminated simultaneously
Intermediate and four internal sides lighting is not required.

Ideal for small spaces, narrow letters, channels or shapes
Available in IP00 or IP67 versions and in White, Red,
Green ,Blue and RGB versions.
LED FLEXTUBE
The closest you can get to a classic neon look offers many possibilities
for architectural, accent and art lighting designs.
With the mushroom shaped PVC dome, there is a viewing angle of 270º
and a beam angle of 160º which gives a 3D effect.
Building outlines, light sculptures, shop and window dressing, light guidelines,
bridge lighting, etc. are only some of the applications possible.
This can be used in up to 20 metre lengths with no undesirable effect
on the light.
Sealing to IP68 ensures safe use for external applications, even for
submersion in swimming pools up to 1 m depth.
ED-LED
linear light source is a rigid strip fitted with 3W high
power EDISON LEDs
The HP LED is fitted with a 10 x 40 degree angle
lense which focuses the light to a line.
The linear light is a board with 3 (323mm) or 5 (543
mm) HP-LEDs with either protection to IP00 or IP65.
Average distance between the LEDs is 110mm.
Matrix LD panels are especially suitable for large area installation of
LED in light boxes, having shallow mounting depths.
The density of the LEDs help to make large savings on installation
time.
With varied cutting possibilities, the MX-LED panels are ideally suited
for fitting into a wide range of back plate formats.

Short Description
LED FLEXSTRIP are flexible LED strip fitted with various options of
TOP-LED SMD 3528. TOP LED SMD 5050 or Side LED SMD 3806
The number of LEDs per metre can be 30. 60 or 120.
120 LED (for the LED Type SMD 5050 maximum is 60 LED/m).
The strips are open (IP00) but can also be supplied with IP74 or
even IP67 for outdoor use.
The strips are supplied in 5 metre lengths on rolls.
The beginning of the strip has a short length of cable.
Other strip lengths up to 5m can be supplied on request.
Application
Due to the close spacing of the LEDs they are very suitable for
direct back lighting in slim light boxes.
Another application is installation to U profiles for halo type lighting effects
Their flexibility makes them ideal for lighting curves, such as letters,
or window and door frames.
Technical
The strips run at constant 12v dc. Due to this they can be cut at every
3 LEDs.
The strips can also be supplied in 24v dc but the cut point changes to every
3 LEDs
The SMD LED 5050 equipped strips (except RGB) have a built in
power regulator. These provide a constant power supply to the LED
chips, ensuring maximum longevity.
Due to the voltage drop along the length of the strip and the current
carrying capacity of the conductor tracks, the maximum length is
limited to 5 m.
Mounting
The IP 00 strips have a 3M double sided tape backing. This is good for
clean sound surfaces such as metal or plastic.
The IP 67 strips also have a mechanical mounting using a matching holder
IP 67 rated strips must have silicone and an end cap fitted to retain
the IP 67 rating after cutting or soldering .
Other connection possibilities are external IP rated gel filled crimps,
with these stripping of the cable is not required.
Colours
All LED strips in this series are fitted with, Warm white 3000K, Cool 6500K
white, red, green and blue.
SMD 5050 Types are available in RGB.
Other tones of white are available by request.
Dimming and control
All LED strips can be dimmed and switched.
We have many excellent options for control, flash and dim operations.
Stand alone fixed program units and remotely controllable systems.
Building systems such as KNX/EIB Bus technologies and DMX stage
lighting systems can also be integrated.

Description
Short description
The ED-LED linear light source is a rigid strip light fitted
with 3W high power EDISON LEDs
The HP LED is fitted with a 10 x 40 degree angle lense
which focuses the light to a line.
The linear light is a board with 3 (323mm) or 5 (543 mm)
long HP-LEDs with optional protection to IP00 or IP65.
Average distance between the LEDs is 110mm.
Application
The LED linear light source range, can be used in
architectural applications for wall wash.
The unit is mounted horizontally to a wall illuminating the
vertical area above or below. The wall reflects the light,
giving the impression of a luminous surface.
The linear light source range are used to illuminate both single
and double sided light boxes.
Normally mounted along the longest edges facing each other to
give the shortest distance between light sources.
Compared to direct illumination methods, this is a cost effective
solution and can be used to cover up to 200cm.
For distances approaching 200cm a fall in light at the centre
should be expected and is also affected by the subject and
material used.
Technical
The LED linear lamp range operate at constant voltage 24v DC.
The wide range of ballasts we supply, offer great advantage over
operation with power drivers.
Constant current supply to the LED is ensured by the fitting of
control chips internally on the boards.
Several units (up to 80 W) can be connected (in parallel) at once.
Mounting
The units feature 3.5 mm holes that can be used to mount them with screw or
rivet.
The IP00 version should be mounted to a good thermally conductive surface
to aid cooling.
The IP65 version, due to it’s aluminium extrusion has adequate cooling built
in.
The use of tape is not recommended to fix the IP00 version as it prevents
heat transfer to the mounting substrate. If a heat transfer compound is
available it should be used.
Colours
White 6000K is standard on this range, but warmer whites are available by
request.
Dimming and Switching
A built in dimming control allows for simple dimming operation using a 5V
PWM control voltage.

ED LED Linear light source - Module chains
These are fitted with optical lenses having a narrow 120° beam angle making them suitable for single and double sided light boxes.
The flexibility of being on a chain, makes them suitable for irregular or curved shape boxes.
In addition to this, having wire between the modules means that they can also have shorter centre distances, helpful if the case depth
varies or is less than 80mm.

The ED-IP-HP1-01W63K module with 1.32W
and 100lm is suitable for light boxes with
depths between 5-12cm or 10-20cm with 2 rows.
With a box width of up to 120 cm only a very
small loss of light occurs towards the centre.
The ED-IP-HP3-01W69K module with 2.7W
and 277lm is suitable for light boxes between
8-20cm or 14-40cm with 2 rows.
With widths up to 2 m only a small light loss
occurs towards the centre
