DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW TOWN
In October 2010, Milanosesto, a company owned by Mr. Davide Bizzi together with some selected financial and
industrial partners, acquired the Ex-Falck area in Sesto San Giovanni and it took less than two years to successfully
complete the urbanistic activities needed to get all the authorizations to develop the project.
The area (ca. 1,400,000 sqm) is one of the largest Real Estate development in Europe, with ca. 1,000,000 sqm of
mixed use private surfaces.
Population density expected on the developed area will be ca. 15,000 of new inhabitants.
The master plan, arranged by Renzo Piano, foresees the development of:

ca. 8,000 flats within 2 type of residential buildings (High-rise with 30 floors and Low-rise with max 11 floors)

a “drive to destination” multifunctional shopping centre

mix of industrial, office, retail and hospitality buildings

schools and public function buildings including social and sport infrastructures

ca. 700,000 sqm of green areas with ca. 15 km of pedestrian circuits and 10,000 new trees
The project will benefit of a total investment exceeding € 300 mln already funded by Public Administration to locate in
the area a new Hospital and Centre of Medical Research representing a cutting edge hospital for knowledge and
technologies applied to medicine and a landmark for research and formation in all medical fields
The project will be developed in accordance with the most advanced energy savings and environmental sustainability
standards.
