Leading by a stroke on the final hole Sunday of the
Humana Challenge, Bill Haas flew the right bunker
with his drive and the ball trickled left and stopped
on the ledge of the front lip.
The American then conjured up another
imaginative escape, bringing memories of the shot
he splashed out of the water to 3 feet in his playoff
victory in the 2011 Tour Championship, as he
avoided a 6 man play-off to make par and win for
the sixth time on the PGA Tour.
Tiger Woods returns to the PGA Tour after a twomonth break at this week's Waste Management
Phoenix Open, his first time at the event since 2001.
This will be just his second tournament since
August and Woods spent at least two months of
that time not playing golf.
All eyes will be on Tiger as the last time we saw him
at the Hero World Challenge the former world
number 1 finished in last place.
Cameron Davis and Shelly Shin collected the
Australian Amateur titles with Davis winning on
the first extra play-off hole over New Zealander,
Tyler Hodge. Earlier, Shin had disposed of Lizzie

A brilliant 9-under par 64 from Sarah Oh in the
second and final round was enough to snatch a one
stroke victory in the ALPG’s Moss Vale Ladies Classic
on Friday.
Oh began the final round today four shots behind
overnight leader Whitney Hillier but leapt into
contention with birdies on the 1st, 4th and then four
straight from the 7th.
Oh added further birdies at the 13th, 15th and 17th to
sign for a scintillating round and an anxious wait for
the rest of the leading groups to finish.
NSW’s Sarah Kemp ended up a stroke shy at 11under, giving the recent retiree from the full-time
circuit the title.
Oh had split her time between the ALPG and Korean
circuits but had decided to step away from the fulltime grind recently, noting:
“I need a break from golf, I want to stay in the
industry but do something different.”
Kemp’s third consecutive high finish this season
extended her already substantial lead in the 2015
Club Car Series, which she also won in 2014.
The ALPG Tour heads to Sydney for the $25,000
Renault Ladies Classic at Castle Hill Country Club
on 29th January, where Oh‘s ‘retirement’ will again
be put on the backburner as she tees up against a
hot field which will include American Beth Allen and
the ever popular Laura Davies.

Speed is the driving force behind the new XR Driverfrom the aerodynamic crown to the RMOTO face
and maximum shaft load. Callaway’s R&D team
traveled down a new path to make the company’s
fastest titanium driver ever.
To reduce drag and maximise speed through the
swing, Callaway engineers designed a Speed Step
Crown and combined it with an optimised
aerodynamic head shape. The weight of the face was
reduced by 10% to make it thinner for faster ball
speeds.
And Callaway’s RMOTO leads to more energy
efficient energy transfer all over the face, allowing
for the centre of gravity (CG) to be placed 17% lower,
where most golfers want it. The XR Driver comes
stock with the new Project X LZ, which produces
maximum shaft load during the downswing for
greater energy transfer to the ball.
OptiFit Adjustability allows golfers to choose from
eight different loft and lie configurations to find the
