Why is inclusive practice important?
Libraries are well placed to deliver inclusive practice using technology
Digital materials are available, portable …searchable, flexible and lend
themselves to adaptation and personalisation.
By placing OS study software shared on the network everyone gets access
everywhere they need it.
Putting effort into staff development on how to create accessible documents
will reap huge benefits for learners and staff. Allowing users to (personalise) use
this flexibility for themselves.
Using what you have got better – Word and Windows as well as iOS have built
in features that allow people to personalise their equipment to suit them.
Magnification, colour and TTS being some of the features and there is more
than one way to browse the internet…
