the R8R launched in 1999 – was based on a monocoque made from carbon fibre materials.
Today, the world of motorsport is synonymous with the use of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic,
or CFRP for short. At the Audi technical centre for carbon-fibre reinforced plastics in Neckarsulm,
50 specialists research new procedures for using carbon in the automotive industry. The aim is
to improve the lightweight construction potential of this innovative material through production
concepts tailored to the material properties, and to extend the use of carbon beyond the sports
car segment. With exterior mirror housings and the tailgate spoiler manufactured entirely from

quattro® logo or the Audi rings are projected onto the ground by
means of an LED light when the vehicle door is opened. Available
in a two-part set for the driver and front-passenger side or for the
rear vehicle doors. Requirement: the lighting package that is
available as an option ex works.

Ski and luggage boxes
A new design from Audi featuring improved aerodynamics thanks to a flatter,
sportier visual concept. Available in Platinum Grey with Brilliant Black
side blades or gloss Brilliant Black, each featuring chrome Audi rings and
a high-quality, rivet-free look. Boxes are lockable and can be opened from
both sides for comfortable loading and unloading. With internal handle
for closing the box. Simple quick-action securing system including torque
limitation. Positioned towards the front of the vehicle, making it easier to
access the luggage compartment. Available in three sizes: 300 l (image
on page 22), 360 l (image on page 23) and 405 l (left-hand image). Can only
be used in conjunction with the carrier unit. Further important information
that will help you to choose the right roof box can be found on page 47.

Bicycle carrier for the trailer towing hitch
Bicycle carrier (also suitable for electric bikes) for up to two bicycles with
a maximum load capacity of 60 kg.* The same key can be used to separately
lock bicycles onto the carrier and the bicycle carrier onto the vehicle. Moveable
wheel restraints provide a secure hold. Easy access to the luggage compartment
is achieved by way of a practical folding mechanism. The bicycle carrier can be

The third-generation Audi Entertainment mobile promises premium entertainment with
excellent image quality thanks to the 10-inch touchscreen – and all of this in the progressive
Audi design. Offering an excellent stage for videos, photos, games and music, the Audi
Entertainment mobile includes software that is intuitive to use, numerous connection
options (SD, USB 2.0, HDMI IN etc.) and a high level of functionality. By connecting to
a Wi-Fi hotspot, users can access the Internet (e.g. via Audi wireless internet access*).
The device can be attached in the vehicle to the backrests of the front seats or used
outside the vehicle. Requirement: preparation for Rear Seat Entertainment.

Available in a range of versions, the USB adapters enable music and
data to be transferred from various mobile telephones and other
media players to the optional Audi music interface. These devices can
be operated via the infotainment system. Most mobile devices can
be charged via USB adapters, thereby making them ideal for use with
the Audi phone box, which is available ex works. The durable spiral
cable with folding USB connector makes the adapters flexible and
easy to use and ensures that less space is taken up than when using

Supports drivers by emitting an audible signal whenever there is insufficient
distance from obstacles. Four unobtrusive ultrasonic sensors are installed

Enhanced interior climate and pleasant circulating fresh air: The door
wind deflectors for your Audi allow the vehicle interior to be ventilated,
thereby contributing to increased driving comfort – even in snow or rain.
By opening the window to just above the bottom edge of the deflectors,
uncomfortable heat build-up from direct sunlight becomes a thing of the
past. Made from high-quality, cast acrylic glass. Available as a two-part

More space for your business tools. The high-quality business bag offers you a storage volume of
approx. 14 l – enough space for a laptop of up to 15 inches as well as the various other things you
need for the office. Can be securely fastened to the rear seat bench or the front passenger seat
using the three-point seat belt. Can also be used outside the vehicle as an attractive briefcase.

Additional storage capacity in a high-quality Audi design with various practical sections – for an
even tidier interior. The pocket has a volume of approx. 11 l and can be secured to the backrests
of the front seats. The handles also enable it to be used outside the vehicle.

A practical product for disposing of rubbish accumulated when travelling, with a waterproof interior
compartment and a capacity of approx. 5 l. Can be fitted to the backrests of the front seats.

A cup for inserting in the cup holder in the centre console, featuring a chrome ring and two

Can be bent into the required shape and secured to the vehicle floor

interior mesh pockets, additional storage compartment and total
volume of approx. 27 l, the rear seat bag in high-quality Audi design

surface on the underside of the bag.

A sturdy storage solution for various small items. The high-quality
rear seat box with a volume of approx. 12 l makes journeys even
more comfortable. It can be secured to the rear seat bench in just
a few steps using the standard three-point belt. Includes a mesh
pocket with internal drawstrings to secure the contents.

Made from black polyester, offering a storage capacity of up to 32 l.
Easily assembled using Velcro tabs, providing a functional and
practical solution. When laid flat, the box also acts as an additional
protective underlay for the luggage compartment. Washable and
