Conditions of Sale
1.
Item Description
Whilst every effort has been made to describe the items for auction, the
organisers cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies in the
descriptions. All items are purchased as seen. No responsibility is accepted
as to the condition or fitness for purpose of items sold.
2.
Viewing
All items will be on show in the saleroom, on the day of the sale, between
9.00 a.m. and the start of the sale at 11.00 a.m.
3.
Buyer Confidentiality
All bidders are required to register their interest at the Payments Office, prior
to the start of the auction. Numbered Identity Cards will be issued and then
used by the Auctioneer to identify the successful bidder. Names and
addresses can be registered at this time, or later, when items are being
paid for. It is suggested that bidders should note their successful lot
numbers on the back of their Bidding Cards; this will ease the work (and
speed of payment) in the Payments Office.
4.
Bidding ‘In Absentia’
In the event that a bidder is unable to, or cannot, be present at the actual
bidding, his/her interest may be registered at the Payments Office by the
bidder having completed a Bidding Card, with his/her bid stated. Bidding
‘In Absentia’ Cards will be issued upon application.
The Auctioneer will use this card as a means of ‘proxy’ bidding, at the limit
of the value on the card. All items successfully bid for are subject to clause
8., below.

Facilities are available in the Payments Office for payments over £50 to be
made by credit/debit card at no cost to the bidder. (This facility is being
kindly provided by Bridges Community Centre). In the event that a buyer’s
name and address has not been registered previously, then such
information must be provided at the time of payment.
However, the Payments Officer will exercise his discretion with regard to this
requirement, and any other requirement for additional identification.
It is regretted that NO CREDIT can be given in respect of the sale of an
item. All items must be paid for, in full, prior to the removal from the
saleroom.
6.
Receipts
Receipts for payment will be issued by the Payments Office and must be
produced to the appropriate official before the goods are removed from
the ‘sold’ holding area.
7.
Title
Title will be deemed to have transferred to the Buyer when the Payments
Office has issued the receipt for payment.
8.
Collection
All items must be (paid for and) collected before 6.00 p.m. on the day of
the sale. No storage facilities are available or can be offered in the event
that an item cannot be collected by this time.
Uncollected items (whether paid for or not) will be disposed of and at the
discretion of the Auctioneer.
9.
Value Added Tax
No VAT is required to/will be charged on the sale of auction items.
