Instant Bonding with Hotmelt
TECBOND Hotmelt Adhesives provide instant, permanent bonding on a
vast range of materials without the use of harmful solvents. They are ideal
for fast repetitive gluing applications.
Our hotmelts are available in stick or cartridge forms which are easily loaded
into hand-held glue guns. The solid adhesive is pushed into a heated chamber
where it melts, and can be extruded from the nozzle by gently squeezing the
trigger.
Most materials can be bonded with hotmelt adhesives providing the parts can
be assembled while the adhesive is still molten. The molten adhesive is
applied to one of the surfaces to be bonded. When the parts are pressed
together the heat quickly dissipates into the substrates, causing the
adhesive to solidify, and a bond or seal is made instantly.
Working times of our hotmelts vary from just a few seconds to several minutes:
the actual time will depend on adhesive formulation, ambient temperature,
substrate temperature, and the amount and configuration of the adhesive
applied.
TECBOND hotmelts are a 100% solid, non-toxic adhesives containing no
solvents (no VOCs) or water. Users do not have to worry about odours or
mould in finished products, or about paying for a solvent that just evaporates.
TECBOND hotmelt adhesives are safe and easy to store, and have a virtually
unlimited shelf life.

Glue Guns are designed to apply the wide range of TECBOND
adhesives, easily, quickly and reliably.
They are low-cost capital items, highly portable and designed to be totally
reliable in tough industrial environments.
TEC glue guns can apply hotmelt adhesive in bead, dot and even spray
patterns, depending on the glue gun selected. The wattage of the tool
normally determines the melt-rate and should be selected based on the
amount of adhesive required per assembly, as well as the number of
assemblies needed to be produced per hour.
In general the larger tools are more powerful and provide greater volumes
of hotmelt adhesive at the correct temperature for optimum bonding.

Speciality High Performance Hotmelts
The TECBOND CT cartridge system is used to conveniently pack specialist
hotmelts that are either too soft or too moisture-sensitive to produce in
12mm stick or 43mm cartridge forms.
TEC 1050
Melt Rate: up to one 50g (1¾ oz) cartridge every 10 minutes
Uses: TECBOND CT adhesive cartridges
TECBOND 2169 is a very soft peelable product that is used for credit card
and CD attachment; the adhesive can be easily removed from the materials
that have been bonded.
TECBOND 4741 is a very aggressive, full pressure-sensitive adhesive that
stays permanently tacky even when cold. It is suitable for sticking soft flexible
things together such as packaging films.
TECBOND 9010 & 9030 are polyurethane reactive hotmelts (PURs) that are
applied and initially set by losing heat and solidifying. Following this the PUR
absorbs a small amount of moisture from the surrounding materials or
atmosphere and chemically sets so that the adhesive can no longer be melted
by heat. Once set, PUR hotmelts offer unrivalled heat and chemical
resistance.

The CT cartridges come complete with a screw-on cap and a built-in nozzle
valve. This enables the adhesive to be part used, and then simply reheated
when needed again, minimising waste and saving cost.
They are dispensed using the TEC 1050 tool that is easy to load and is ready
to use in 10 minutes. This is an electronic cordless tool that comes complete
with a combined stand and heating station. The heating station has a warning
light that turns green when the tool is ready for use.

Most Hotmelts run at the 'standard' glue gun temperature of 195ºC (383ºF), but we also offer Lowmelts that run at 130ºC (266ºF) and Heat Resistant Polyamides
that run at 215ºC (419ºF). It is also sometimes useful to run at a lower temperature to prevent heat damage to some materials the adhesive might be applied
to.

The TEC-AIR 50TDC is an almost silent, compact, air compressor, which
is fully automatic in operation. It weighs just 21 kilos (46lbs), and comes
complete with a robust tubular carrying frame. It is rated at 50lt/min
(2.15cfm) and works to a maximum pressure of 8 bar (120psi).
The TEC-AIR 50TDC is also capable of operating up to two TEC 6100 or
TEC 7100 applicators or one TEC 6300 or TEC 7300 spray, pneumatic
applicator intermittently for small area coverage. It can also be used with
most other pneumatic tools such as staplers, air brushes and tyre inflators.

The TEC 6100/BMK (Bench Mount Kit) converts your TEC 6100 & TEC
7100 to a statically mounted, foot operated glue station. It allows the
operator to have both hands free for gluing applications, improving

adhesive to be applied with each operation of the foot pedal.
This improves quality, guarantees consistent bonding and reduces the
amount of adhesive used. It allows the operator to have both hands free
for gluing applications, improving productivity by up to 100%. Can only be
