Short Breaks in Staffordshire (Aiming High)
Issue 11, Version 1 Date: 1st December 2014 Short Breaks in Staffordshire (Aiming High) Activity Guide January - March 2015 Activities for children and young people with a disability or additional need and their families in Staffordshire 2 Welcome to the Aiming High Activity Guide. To help with planning, Aiming High activities are displayed in the calendars starting on page 3. For full details of our activities please see the listings starting on page 6. Who can take part and do parents/carers have to stay? Activities are open to children and young people with a disability or additional need aged up to and including 17, who live in Staffordshire. Parents/carers must stay with their child for some of the activities. For other activities, parents/carers and siblings are also welcome to take part if they choose. Please see individual adverts for more details on this. Is there a charge for activities? The majority of Aiming High activities are completely FREE, however, a voluntary contribution is requested by some providers. Where applicable this will be highlighted in the individual adverts. How to book places and find out more information Providers handle all of their own bookings and so to book places please contact the providers listed directly. You do not need to register with the Aiming High Team first. If you are unsure about whether any of the activities will be suitable please speak to our providers who will be happy to answer questions or talk through any concerns you have. If you book an activity and can no longer attend you MUST let the provider know with as much notice as possible. When places are booked and then not taken up it means other families have missed out and it also wastes money for short breaks. Keeping up to date with Aiming High Activities To receive activity updates via email please call 01785 278072 or email [email protected] Further information on Aiming High is available on our website at: www.staffordshire.gov.uk/aiminghigh Best wishes, The Aiming High Team January 2015 Mon 3 Tues Wed Thur Fri Sat Sun 1 NEW YEARS DAY 2 3 4 Golf (page 6) Inspire Club (page 21) Inspire Club (page 21) 5 Golf (page 6) 12 Golf (page 6) 6 7 9 14 Chase It (page 19) 15 16 Able Too FC (page 6) Golf (page 6) 20 21 22 23 Able Too FC (page 6) Chase It (page 19) Inspire Club (page 21) Golf (page 6) 27 Chase It (page 19) 28 29 Able Too FC (page 6) Chase It (page 19) 18 Golf (page 6) Inspire Club (page 21) 24 Golf (page 6) Stay & Play (page 16) Youth Club (page 16) Inspire Club (page 21) Chase It (page 19) 26 11 17 Inspire Club (page 21) Chase It (page 19) 19 10 Golf (page 6) Stay & Play (page 16) Youth Club (page 16) Inspire Club (page 21) ACTION Workshop (page 13) Able Too FC (page 6) Chase It (page 19) Inspire Club (page 21) Chase It (page 19) 13 8 30 31 Chuckle Workshop (page 9) Golf (page 6) Inspire Club (page 21) 25 Inspire Club (page 21) February 2015 Mon 4 Tues Wed Thur Fri Sat Sun 1 Inspire Club (page 22) 2 Golf (page 6) 3 4 5 6 Able Too FC (page 6) Bowling (page 14) Golf (page 6) Stay & Play (page 16) Youth Club (page 16) Inspire Club (page 22) Chase It (page 19) Chase It (page 19) Inspire Club (page 22) 9 Golf (page 6) 10 11 12 Chase It (page 19) 7 13 14 Able Too FC (page 6) Golf (page 6) Chase It (page 19) Inspire Club (page 22) 8 Inspire Club (page 22) 15 Inspire Club (page 22) ACTION Workshop (page 13) 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 HALF TERM Golf (page 6) Key Steps (page 8) Wildplay (page 11) 23 Golf (page 6) Key Steps (page 8) Wildplay (page 11) Multi Sports (page 15) Chase It (page 19) 24 Chase It (page 19) Multi Sports (page 15) Bakery Day (page 18) Chuckle Workshop (page 9) 25 Wildplay (page 11) Family Fun Day (page 12) Multi Sports (page 15) Chase It (page 19) Inspire Club (page 22) Conkers Trip (page 10) 26 Able Too FC (page 6) Chase It (page 19) Multi Sports (page 15) Activity Day (page 7) 27 Chuckle Workshop (page 9) Golf (page 6) Key Steps (page 8) Stay & Play (page 16) Youth Club (page 16) Inspire Club (page 22) 28 Golf (page 6) Animal Magic (page 18) Inspire Club (page 22) Inspire Club (page 22) March 2015 Mon 5 Tues Wed Thur Fri Sat Sun 1 Inspire Club (page 23) 2 Golf (page 6) 3 4 5 6 Able Too FC (page 6) Chase It (page 19) Chase It (page 19) Inspire Club (page 23) 9 Golf (page 6) 10 11 Chase It (page 19) 12 13 Golf (page 6) 23 Golf (page 6) 17 Able Too FC (page 6) 18 Chase It (page 19) 25 26 Able Too FC (page 6) Chase It (page 19) Golf (page 6) 31 Chase It (page 19) Inspire Club (page 23) 15 Trip to Conkers (page 14) Inspire Club (page 23) 20 21 Golf (page 6) Stay & Play (page 16) Youth Club (page 16) Inspire Club (page 23) 27 Chuckle Workshop (page 9) 28 Golf (page 6) Inspire Club (page 23) Animal Magic (page 18) 30 8 Inspire Club (page 23) Able Too FC (page 6) Chase It (page 19) Inspire Club (page 23) Sahara Meeting (page 10 Chase It (page 19) 24 19 14 Golf (page 6) Chase It (page 19) 16 7 Golf (page 6) Key Steps (page 8) Family Events (page 12) Stay & Play (page 16) Youth Club (page 16) Inspire Club (page 23) 22 Inspire Club (page 23) 29 Inspire Club (page 23) 6 Able Too United Junior Football Club Golf Golf for the whole family.
