a message to the class of 2006 from the princip the principal
Graduation Edition Monday, May 15, 2006 The Medicine Lodge High School Graduating Class of 2006 invites you to join their celebration at Commencement Exercises May 20, 2006, at 8 p.m. Krug Field Medicine Lodge, Kansas Baccalaureate Saturday, May 20th, 2006, at 2 p.m. at The First Christian Church A MESS AGE TO MESSAGE THE CLASS OF 2006 FROM THE PRINCIP AL PRINCIPAL AL:: Is it really possible that we have only one week left until graduation? Where has the school year gone? It seems like Spring Break was only yesterday! I’m sure that my perspective on the speed of the school year at MLHS may not accurately reflect that of the senior students. Looking back, it doesn’t even seem possible that the Class of 2006 should be ready to walk across the stage at graduation to receive their diplomas. While these past four years have flown by, the changes in the Class of 2006 as they have transitioned from freshman to seniors are noticeable. They have all grown and matured both physically and mentally. They have all acquired knowledge and experience through the process of working with the teachers and each other in their classes. They have worked together and with others to find success in athletics, activities and in the classroom. They have learned to meet challenges and conquer difficult and stressful situations they’ve encountered in the journey that has been Medicine Lodge High School. It has been more than a building or a place, it has been a collective being of the people who have called MLHS theirs and made it the institution it is. While the experience has not been the same for all who have walked the halls, you will gather together for Mike Hubka, Principal one last time on the evening of May 20th to celebrate with the world what you have accomplished. You will then scatter in pursuit of bigger dreams and goals as you continue down the road of life. While you think back on your life at Medicine Lodge High School, remember those things that you will take with you as you leave; the knowledge and skills, the friendships, the experiences and memories. Remember the value of hard work. Remember the parents, teachers, friends, family and others who helped you get to this point in time. They support you now and will in the future as well. I, along with the entire MLHS staff, want to proudly congratulate you on all that you have accomplished in completing your high school education. It has been our task to give you some of the tools you will need in tackling whatever lies ahead, so we truly want to see you succeed. Your future is yours to decide, so embrace the challenge to be what you want to be and to be the best doing it. We wish you the best of luck in all that you face in that future.
