Prof. Moorthy Selvakumaran Profile
Prof. Moorthy Selvakumaran has completed his B.E degree in Electronics &
Communication Engineering from Madras University and his M.E degree in
Product Design from CEG Campus, Anna University, Chennai. He has completed
his Ph.D in VLSI Design. He has a teaching experience as a Professor in various
Engineering colleges for over more than 15 years.
He has worked hardly for over more than seven years with the mission of
Institution Quality and their student’s outcome. He has assisting many ways in
designing the new NBA format with experts for the best Accreditation system in our
country. He has given many faculty training programs for getting NBA
accreditation in various southern states like Tamil nadu, Kerala, Andra pradesh
Karnataka, Ponjab and West Bengal.
He has made two inventions for the house hold appliances and applied for getting
patent right for the same. Currently, he has started an industry (Sri Selvakumaran
Industries, Erode) to convert his innovative idea into workable product for the people
and their society development.
He has written a book for Engineering Admission in Tamil nadu, titled
COUNSELLING GUIDE: 2009 – first of its kind in India and also written a book for
Medical Admission in Tamil nadu. Since 2009, he has writing the books named as
Engineering & Medical Counseling Guide for benefit of plus two & polytechnic
students.
In the interest of younger generation, he has taken the first step in Analyzing
Engineering & Medical Education in Tamil nadu and made the publication of the
same for the development of rural students. He has started a unique Career
Guidance and Resource Center in Erode with huge data base information about all
the Institutions and Courses available in Tamil nadu. He is the person who does
complete data analysis of various entrance examinations, admission process etc.
Due to his complete analysis many students were able to take the right decision for
their career.
He has given many students counseling program through various media like Kodai
FM, Jaya TV & Kalaignar News TV and Publishing plus two result analysis &
admission report through the Kalvimalar, Daily Thanthi, Times of India, New
Indian Express & The Hindu news papers frequently.
He has been writing an article about National level Entrance Exam & Higher
Education through Thannambikkai monthly magazine publishing from Coimbatore,
Daily Thanthi – Ilaingar Malar book and also giving regular Educational
Programme through Kodaikanal FM radio.
My educational news has been published more than 51 times in The Times of India news paper,
13 times in Daily Thanthi news paper, 19 times in The Hindu news paper, 36 weeks different
educational articles continuously in Ilaigner malar book, regular article writer in
Thannambikkai and Puthiyathalaimurai kalvi magazine and given more than 9 one hour
live programs in Puthiyathalaimurai TV channel, 7 one hour programs in News7 Tamil
channel, weekly regular one hour RCN TV live program throughout the year 2013 and more
than 21 recorded programs in Kodai FM radio and given counseling program organized by
Dinamalar news paper in Chennai.

This is my second award for educational services to the poor students. My first one was
“Growing Achiever Award”” from the National Integrity Cultural Academy,
Academy at Chennai on
11.12.2010.
Third award - Senior Educator & Researcher Award in 5th Teachers' Day Awards
'2014 organized by our National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development
(NFED), Coimbatore on 5th September 2014.
