DEAN SMITH
Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Dean Smith is the newest member of the Axis Wake Research team. To put it simply, Dean is at
the forefront of progressive riding these days – no matter where
you are on the globe. The good-natured Aussie has a go-big
style uniquely his own that helped propel him to the top of the
World Championships in 2010. To put it simply, Dean’s riding
is jaw-dropping, but hang out with him for a few minutes and
you’ll feel like you’ve been ‘mates for years.
randall “vandall” harris
keith lyman
Randall Harris has been setting the bar for legitimate snow/skate
style of wakeboarding since the age of 13. Hailing from Huntington
Beach CA, he started WSR (West Side Riders) giving the core group
of Westsiders a direction and vision. Randall is ultimately known
for going massive, he rides a line length 10 feet longer then most
pros and rides on average 7mph faster. Randall has earned global
acclaim through the years including Alliance Wakeboard Magazine’s
Rider of the Year 2 times. Once in 02 and again in 07. To date no
other athlete in the history of the sport has accomplished this.
Keith Lyman has been pushing the boundaries and perceptions of
wakeboarding since he first hit the scene back in 2001. Axis Wake
Research was excited to welcome Keith to the family in 2010 as
his signature style and humble personality fit perfectly with our
energy and values. In 2011 Keith again pushed the envelope of
wakeboarding when he announced he was retiring from professional riding in order to pursue another life-long dream: a career
in the American armed forces. While we were sad to see one of our
own leave the sport, we will always consider Keith to be part of the
Axis family and are both proud and humbled by his decision.
