The Lake is a fantastic place to live. It has something for everyone.
Do you like fishing or boating? It’s hard to find a better or more scenic
place in the Midwest than the Lake.
Looking for a great place to raise your kids? Our school systems and
family-oriented lifestyle will appeal to you.
If you love shopping at both national chains and locally owned stores,
the Lake has plenty of both.
Avid golfers who visit or live at the Lake have more than a dozen excellent
courses to choose from.
Those who have a hearty appetite won’t go hungry here; we have a wide array of restaurants
ranging from fast food to gourmet—many of which you can get to by both car and boat.
The evening doesn’t have to stop after dinner. The Lake has dozens of pubs and bars for those
who want to stay up a little later! And if you want entertainment, there’s always something going
on. We have plenty of festivals, fairs and concerts around the Lake throughout the year.
Like the Lake, our family of publications at Lake Media not only offers something to
everyone—they reach everyone.
Whether you’re a full-time resident, second-home owner or a tourist—if you’re at the Lake,
like visiting the Lake or even thinking about visiting the Lake—there’s an excellent chance you’ve
come in contact with one of our products.
In the peak summer months, it can easily be said that we reach more than 100,000 people at
the Lake. Our family of publications extends to such a variety and number of people, we offer a
“one-stop shop” for business owners who want to reach new and current customers at the Lake
through advertising.
Our goal at Lake Media is to make a positive impact on the Lake community we serve.
That includes helping businesses be successful through marketing. I hope you’ll give us the
opportunity to help your business.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a little bit more about our family. If you have any
questions or would like to let us know how we’re doing, please don’t hesitate to call us.

Located in the heart of Missouri, the Lake of the Ozarks area is the Midwest’s premier Lake resort
destination. We offer world-class boating, golfing, shopping and fishing, as well as a wide variety
of lodgings, restaurants, state parks and other recreational activities.
Our Lake has more than 1,150 miles of shoreline and a full-time population of about 80,000.
However, during the warm-weather months when tourists and second-home owners are here,
our population can swell to an estimated 250,000 or more.
Because of our many second-home owners and tourists, the Lake has a very diverse population.
That’s where we can help!
Through our many publications and websites, Lake Media not only reaches the people who live
year-round at the Lake, but we also reach those who vacation at the Lake or live here seasonally.
Simply put—Lake Media has access to the largest number of consumers in the area. We can
deliver your business’s message to more people at the Lake than anyone else.
Are you getting a
piece of the pie?

Who’s in the band?
Jerry Wingate, lead vocal and harp
Ray McCarty, keys and guitar
Mike Kelly, bass guitar and vocals
Bob Thebeau, drums and percussion
Capt Thomas, lead guitar and vocals
What is your music
genre?
I think we would be lumped into the
classic rock genre, but I would call
it
hard edged classic rock. We mix
alot of styles to include such ’70s
pop artist as Elton John being
mixed with AC/DC or the odd Cash
song.
How long have you
been around?
If you go
Smoke-n-Mirrors have been together for almost a decade. We
have known each other collectively
for close to 20 years, not to give our
ages away or anything.

What music do you
listen to?
I would say we listen to a large variety of musical styles but as musicians we have both similar and
widely differing influences that create a large musical pallet to draw
from. I am in love with ’70s guitar
rock and what some people call old
school British metal like Iron
Maiden. You might not think you
hear it in the Beatles song we are
performing, but it's there.
