It is with a newly developed sense of appreciation thol we, the surviving members of the American Defenders of Baloon and Corregidor dedicate
this program booklet to all those who gave their lives in defense of the
Philippines and for the democratic way of life. "For our tomorrow they
gave their day."
We all dream of the doy when men will be governed by the "Sermon
on the Mount" but as yet it is only a d ream. Today as in our days the soldier
is performing the greatest oct of religious teochings-"socrifice."
History leaches vs thot the flame of eternal peace burns in the hear"
of all free men, it also leaches us the unescopoble price of liberty is the
ability to save and preserve it from destruction.
We shall win-for it is not only the living who ore fighting for a free
ond belter world but the dead also. Such a force cannot be defea ted.
